Erdogan asked Putin to release Ukrainian sailors

2
It became known that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan submitted to the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin a request for the release of crew members of three ships of the Ukrainian Navy. They were detained after a provocation in the Kerch Strait, which took place on November 25, 2018.

Erdogan said that after the incident, talked with Putin and Poroshenko on the phone. At the same time, Poroshenko told him that he could not reach Putin at all, so he asked the Turkish leader to transfer the request for the release of those arrested to the President of Russia.

After that, already at the G20 summit in Argentine Buenos Aires, Erdogan had a personal meeting with the Russian leader and he conveyed this request. He clarified that he was aware of the ongoing investigation of the incident. Therefore, he understands that only after that some kind of decision can be made.

I’m saying that in such matters Turkey can only ask, we won’t go beyond that

- added the president of Turkey.

In fact, Erdogan distanced himself from annoying Kiev, perfectly understanding what happened in the Kerch Strait and very logically assessing the consequences. At the same time, Putin’s refusal to talk to Poroshenko on the phone is explainable; he does not want to participate in the election campaign of the President of Ukraine.

Why didn't Erdogan ask Poroshenko to release our pirate fishermen seamen from the ship "Nord" ??? Even no one paid attention to it, but here such zeal. It seems that Erdogan decided to fish in troubled waters, gain some political points for himself, in a word, engage in populism. I do not believe this Erdogan, he is muddy.

Russia has fought more wars with Turkey than with Poland. Why would we expect curtsey from Turkey. The statement that Erdogan made is already a lot. And then, the Turks are forced to maneuver between us and the west. And the very eastern "politeness politese" has always been as wordy as it is inactive. In addition, Turkey is strongly influenced by the United States, no matter how Erdogan tries. Therefore, all the verbal "husk" of the Western media and politicians will be from the American score. We need to pay more attention to practical actions. And there everything is still going on as usual: TP is at the completion stage, SP-2 is under construction, European ships in the Sea of Azov are not torn. In principle, stability is present in some way.
