The Kremlin commented on the dispute of two presidents

The Kremlin commented on a rather tough discussion that broke out the other day between the presidents of Russia and Belarus - Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko. The topic of the dispute was the cost of Russian gas for Minsk.

As the press secretary of the head of the Russian state Dmitry Peskov said, in a working conversation it is not always possible to achieve a unity of opinion.

Different points of view were expressed, disagreements were expressed on a number of issues, and this suggests that this is a living mechanism that affects the interests of all participating countries

- quotes the words of Peskov RIA News.

A spokesman for the President of the Russian Federation added that both leaders plan to hold a meeting before the New Year, at which they will discuss problems that cause disagreement.

The dispute between Putin and Lukashenko arose during the recent summit of the heads of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which took place in St. Petersburg. Lukashenko expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that Russian consumers in the Smolensk region pay $ 70 per thousand cubic meters of gas, while in neighboring Belarus it costs $ 130. To this, the Russian leader replied that the price for Germany for the same volume of Russian gas was $ 250 altogether. As for Belarus, it receives gas at half the price because of its status.

The Belarusian leader objected that his country lives worse than Germany, although, being part of the USSR, the Russians and Belarusians fought together against the Nazis.

Later, Alexander Lukashenko apologized to his Russian counterpart.

I had to apologize later to the host of today's meeting. There was a very stormy explanation, well you better not hear it

- said the president of Belarus following the discussion.

Well, you're stupid, Sasha. Zhirinovsky suggested that you become 86 Belarusian governor. You refused. Now don't cry

Fought together, you say? And why banned "St. George's Ribbon"? Nobody forced you to join it, but the ban suggests that you evaluate this Victory differently. You evaluate Crimea differently, and the death of Russian peacekeepers is not a reason for you to support with an intangible gesture of an ally. How did you deserve additional material preferences? And that there is already a lot ...
