Lukoil and the Saudis will resume a joint project
The president of the Russian company Lukoil, Vagit Alekperov, met with the Minister of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Khalid al-Falih. At the meeting, a joint Luksar project was discussed.

Saudi Energy Minister asked Russians to provide economic project model. Previously, a similar project was already provided to the Saudis by the Russian side. According to Alekperov, the preparation of this document will take about three months.

Now the Russian company owns 80 percent of Lukoil Saudi Arabia Energy Ltd (Luksar). This joint venture was formed by Lukoil and Saudi state oil and gas company Saudi Aramco.
The cooperation of the Russian company with the Saudis began in 2004. In 2009, the Russians discovered two large gas fields - Tukhman and Mushaib. Companions were supposed to begin their development back in 2015, but could not agree on prices. The project was then stopped, but now they decided to return to this issue.
