Remember nuclear weapons? Kiev requires a meeting in the "Budapest format"

4
The refusal of nuclear weapons in the 90s still worries Kiev, in any case, they regularly recall this there. And after the planned provocation in the Kerch Strait on November 25, 2018, it was only a matter of time before the Ukrainian authorities raised it again. And now, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry demanded urgent consultations in the “Budapest format” (Russia, Ukraine, Great Britain, the USA).

Before that, Kiev had already demanded that the meeting be held in the "Norman format", but so far they had not been given an answer. In other matters, he also appealed to him about the “Budapest format”, but he was ignored. And now Kiev is very nervous, and sends out promising messages again.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on November 27, 2018, on the basis of paragraph six of the memorandum, appealed to the signatory countries of the Budapest memorandum with a request for urgent consultations in order to ensure full compliance with obligations

- the message says the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, which did not wait for answers.

It should be noted that 24 years ago Ukraine really abandoned nuclear weapons. At that time, she had the third potential on the planet after the United States and Russia. Caught in the hands of Kiev, the potential exceeded the united China, France and Great Britain!

In 176 mine launchers, there were 130 liquid-fuel and 46 solid-fuel ICBMs. In total, they had 1240 warheads with a total capacity of 680 megatons. At the same time, 46 strategic bombers were armed with 492 air-based cruise missiles, another 100 ALCMs were in stock. It turns out that Ukraine had about 1900 strategic nuclear warheads. However, there were another 2600 tactical nuclear munitions. And all this good was completely exported from Ukraine.

And for the renunciation of nuclear weapons, Kiev received security guarantees, which were enshrined in Great Britain, the USA and Russia in the Budapest memorandum in connection with Ukraine's accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). And since then, Kiev regularly reminds about this.

Sick people! And who has ratified this memorandum? No one, and Ukraine in the first place. Forget it!

In the 90s, if anyone forgot, Russia declared itself the assignee of the USSR, taking upon itself all the obligations, including the debt obligations of the Union. The national and republican armed forces (which by and large none of the republics had) had no nuclear weapons. You cannot demand what you never had. And that's all, close the stupid mussing of the fact that the eggs are not worth it.

PS. Since after the coup d'état that took place in Ukraine in 2014, the new territorial entity, formerly called "Ukraine", refused legal succession, the "Budapest Memorandum" does not apply to it. Amen.

And this "education" was without history until the 14th. abandoned the legal succession of the Ukrainian SSR. Now, if the LDNR declare themselves the legal successors of the Ukrainian SSR, then they will receive assistance as BROTHERLY republics ... and then it will be clear what and how ...
