The State Department came up with how to prevent the "Nord Stream-2"

The implementation of the Russian-European joint gas transmission project Nord Stream-2 (SP-2) has been haunting Washington for some time. And the uninterrupted supply of gas to Europe, as the main competitor, is not included in the US plans.

Therefore, the White House clings to any opportunity to prevent the completion of construction and commissioning of SP-2. This time, a provocation occurred in time in the Kerch Strait, arranged by the Kiev authorities on November 25, 2018. And now, the US State Department reports that they will use this incident to convince Europe to abandon SP-2, i.e. put pressure on Germany.

On December 4, 2018, a “briefing” (a whole informational “roll”) was published on the official website of the State Department, with questions from an unknown media and answers to a mysterious official. A new training manual saw the light, as other ways to influence the Germans have already been exhausted.

It is clarified that the issue of SP-2 is raised every time, at every opportunity and in general wherever possible when communicating with German officials, politicians and businessmen. It is said that there are “some signs” telling Washington that some German officials began to listen more to the words about leaving SP-2 after the incident in the Kerch Strait.

This mysterious representative of the State Department noted that in German public opinion, it turns out, the detention of Ukrainian ships is perceived as a seizure and an act of aggression. In this regard, Berlin, allegedly, it will now be easier to convince to abandon the project SP-2.

The Kerch incident should show all our European allies that Nord Stream 2 is a bad idea. The more infrastructure is developed to bypass Ukraine, the weaker it is possible to restrain Russian aggression

- reported in a mysterious briefing, an unknown official for no less mysterious media.

Before us is only what is wanted, issued by the State Department for reality. The State Department just talked to himself on his own page on the Internet. After all, Americans like to blow fog, add mystery and present everything the way they want, not paying attention to reality. This is their signature style, style, so to speak. But there is no doubt that they will interfere with SP-2 with all their might. Another question is how Berlin reacts to this.

As for Germany, the candidate for the post of chairman of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, the successor of Angela Merkel, and now the CDU secretary general, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, is already all said Olga, on this occasion. And with her stand in solidarity German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas (Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD)), who said that the Germans are not going to stop SP-2. This suggests that in Germany there is complete consensus, and that the State Department is nervous.
