The IMF scare London with the consequences of Brexit

The IMF joined the European debate on the conditions under which Britain should withdraw from the European Union with a disappointing forecast for London.

According to the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde, if the UK dares to leave the EU without concluding a deal, in her the economy the worst possible scenario could be realized - the “black script”.

The IMF conducted an assessment of the current state of the UK economy and drew up several options for further development of the situation that London introduced to.

Among the possible options there is a desirable one - the basic one, which the majority of the EU member states desires, and “black” - in case the UK leaves the EU without a deal.

Kristin Lagarde believes that at present in the country's economy there are already traces of signs characteristic of the "black scenario".
The head of the fund also noted that with any development of the situation, losses from Brexit will be greater than previously expected.

Recall that the UK exit from the European Union is scheduled for March 29, 2019. At the same time, London is set to exit anyway, even if the deal does not take place. Some experts believe that such a move could be an economic disaster for the country.
