Alaska stares at Russia

In particular, the report said that US authorities plan to intensify relations between the Far East and Alaska. The US Consul General said that he had a series of meetings with the Alaskan administration and the public, the central theme of which was a discussion of the search for opportunities for cooperation between Alaska and the Russian Far Eastern regions in the humanitarian fields and business.

As the diplomat emphasized, the result of these meetings was the wish for the resumption and further development of Russian-American relations.

Currently, there is a visa-free regime for citizens of Russia and the United States living on both sides of the Bering Strait, thanks to which residents of border regions, both Russia and the United States, can freely move between countries.
