The forces of the Black Sea Fleet repelled an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Crimean Peninsula. The enemy tried to land troops in the west of Crimea, having previously transferred military personnel to Zmeiny Island from the city of Vilkovo (Odessa region).


The Russian Armed Forces detected the movement of 14 enemy boats in advance and sent naval aircraft to intercept them. Su-24 bombers attacked Ukrainian terrorists with four RBK-500 cluster munitions. Several boats were damaged, the rest turned around and headed back.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side was planning a drone attack simultaneously with the landing. However, units of the 31st Air Force and Air Defense Division, using electronic warfare systems, thwarted the intentions of the Kiev regime, landing two drones at Cape Fiolent and shooting down three UAVs at the Belbek airfield and one in the southwest of Sevastopol.

Apparently, the aircraft launched from the Odessa region or from drilling rigs in the Black Sea - this is indicated by the location of their discovery in the western part of the peninsula.

Meanwhile, on the night of September 18, the Russian Armed Forces attacked warehouses with Storm Shadow missiles and ammunition with depleted uranium. Radio intelligence centers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and militant training bases were also successfully attacked. According to the Russian defense department, all intended targets were successfully hit.

    Are we invited to rejoice at such news? Boats with landing forces sailing to the shores of Crimea, without the cover of the fleet (which Ukraine has long since lost, isn’t it?), aviation and air defense - that is, absolutely testing grounds, greenhouse conditions for the destruction of such landing forces... And the result is not a single sunk boat out of fourteen! Something seemed to be damaged, the rest just turned around! Moreover, Zmeiny Island is used as a transshipment base, which, as we remember, ceased to have any military significance immediately after it was abandoned by our troops. But it was useful to the enemy!
    UAVs are shot down in the immediate vicinity of Belbek and over Sevastopol itself! These are drones that fly hundreds of kilometers over the Black Sea! And what is this called, other than the complete loss of control over the air and surface situation by the Black Sea Fleet? Praise be to the Almighty that the Ukrainians do not (not yet?) have submarines, otherwise our Black Sea fleet would have ended already. At all.

          From the point of view of naval doctrine: complete control over the water basin implies an absolute cessation of enemy activity. The Black Sea Fleet controls the Black Sea. Detecting, attacking and stopping an enemy operation is precisely what this means. Another thing is that absolute control is achieved by occupying the enemy coast.

          And yes, you are right that attacking 14 small, high-speed targets with one aircraft is ineffective. There is no point in shooting sparrows from a cannon. It would be optimal to control the movement of enemy boats, bring them closer to the shore and attack with helicopters armed with missiles and guns. I think the effect would be great.
