Belarus is ready to conduct joint exercises with Poland if such a proposal is received. This was stated by Deputy Secretary of State of the Security Council of the Republic Pavel Muraveiko.
If the Poles are ready to conduct exercises with us, we will be happy to take such an initiative and consider what issues we can work on together
- said the Deputy Secretary of State of the Security Council on the STV channel.
Muraveiko added that promising issues for possible development lie on the surface.
This is air defense within the framework of joint border protection, border security, countering cross-border threats associated with biological and other emergency situations
и - explained the politician.
The Deputy Secretary of State of the Belarusian Security Council added that if such a proposal is received, there will be a response and actions by the country.
Minsk intends to conduct large-scale exercises approximately from September 20 to 26. Military activity near the border is a matter of close attention and concern in Poland.
It was previously reported that Belarus wants suspend the effect of the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) in relation to Poland and the Czech Republic. The reason was Warsaw's announcement in April of this year that it would no longer provide Minsk with data on its army.
