Belgian planes carried out sorties to escort the Su-27 fighters of the Russian aerospace forces. This post appeared on the official page of the Belgian Air Force on Twitter.

Belgian military aircraft are on alert over the Baltic Sea. Their task is to protect the airspace of NATO countries. On November 29, they discovered and intercepted Su-27 fighters of the Russian Air Force over the Baltic. According to the Belgians, Russian planes moved in the absence of a flight plan.

The text of the record in the social network was supplemented with black and white video material, which, most likely, was shot from the board of the NATO F-16 aircraft.

Earlier, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that over the Baltic and Black Seas the intelligence activity of NATO aviation significantly increased. Since the beginning of this year, our aircraft have had to carry out flights to intercept foreign aircraft more than 120 times.

Representatives of the Russian Ministry of War have repeatedly emphasized that the Russian Aerospace Forces strictly adhere to international legislation on the use of airspace over neutral waters and do not violate the borders of neighboring states.
