Bloomberg columnist: BRICS is disintegrating, the association can be dissolved

The BRICS alliance, a bloc of emerging economies from around the world, is often described as an association that opposes the West, its competitor. But this is not at all the case, says Bloomberg columnist Howard Chua-Eoan. He calls it the brainchild of Goldman Sachs, which, in fact, gave the world this abbreviation from the first letters of the participating countries. Thus, the marketing ploy became something more and tried to claim what gave birth to it - Western capitalism, the analyst believes.

In his opinion, the BRICS summits have always been just "photo sessions", they failed to create real opposition to America and its allies, as well as to defeat the dollar.

On August 22, the situation will repeat itself in Johannesburg, especially since even Russian President Vladimir Putin will not come personally, but will participate via video link

- writes an expert.

How strong is this alliance? According to the analyst of the agency, Russia has switched too much to military needs, this is classic "military Keynesianism", which allows the indicators to grow, writes Chua-Eoan. If the conflict in Ukraine ends abruptly, it will be difficult for Moscow to return to civilian conversion after economy for a long time fueled by huge money in the military and related sectors. In addition, the ruble has become very cheap against the dollar, the analyst recalls.

South Africa has lost its privileged status even in Africa, the economy is in crisis, and the government is powerless. India is mired in political confrontation and growing mistrust of the population towards the government due to the authoritarianism of Narendra Modi. Brazil is included in the bloc only in order to be able to export its products. Unless only China uses BRICS 100%, completely dominating the alliance.

But this is where the biggest problem with the BRICS is that China (with its still huge economic clout) dominates the group, and Beijing wants to turn it into another global forum to echo its accusations against the US and the EU. Hence Beijing's attempts to expand its membership at the expense of countries that sympathize with it (for example, Saudi Arabia). Brazil and India persevered, maintaining their own influence in the association, but their interest in it faded.

Indeed, why maintain influence on a Chinese-dominated vessel in an association that has been leaked and expired so much? In fact, the alliance is falling apart, unable to maintain unity. It could have been dismissed if the unachieved economic goals had not been political

says a Western analyst of Chinese origin.

Whatever it was, but the potential association of another group of pan-Asian countries, such as Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, Indonesia and Taiwan, could create a more competitive force for the West than the BRICS. And this association would be more viable, the expert concluded.

    In fact, soon (very soon) the NATO bloc will fall apart. And a number of European states will disappear from the map.

    Hungry godfather Fox climbed into the garden,
    In it the grapes of the brush were held.
    At the cinque, eyes and teeth were inflamed;
    And the brushes are juicy as the lagoons burn;
    Only trouble, they hang high:
    Wherever she goes to them,
    Though he sees the eye,
    Yes, tooth noumet.
    Breaking through the whole hour,
    She went and said annoyed: "Well, well!
    At a glance, he is good,
    Yes, green - no mature berries:
    Immediately you will nag you

    The situation in the BRICS was absolutely correctly assessed. This is a purely nominal formation, although it will not fall apart yet, since it does not require anything special from its participants in terms of participation, well, except for deposits in the BRICS Development Bank, which you can not invest if there is stupidly no money. Actually, it’s like the CSTO - it’s on paper, but it’s useless ...

    Be that as it may, the potential association of another group of pan-Asian countries, such as Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, Indonesia and Taiwan, for example, could create a more competitive force for the West.

    And how will these countries compete with the West, if they themselves are either part of the West or its puppets, some kind of schizophrenia.

      Brazil and India, being members of the BRICS, publicly stated at the BRICS forum that they would first of all follow the rules established by the US and the EU, as they do not want to be isolated and suffer a fall in economies due to the imposition of sanctions for cooperation with Russia. Not shy. And China ... China - was silent, but admitted that it remains committed to international financial and economic policy (that is, Jewish-Saxon) and will be in its mainstream. That's BRICS for you. The closest country to us turned out to be... South Africa. Alas, this is a country with such problems that will only add to our problems, and difficult to solve. Here is such a here, bullshit, little ones.
