Poland will increase the grouping of troops on the border with Belarus

Poland will increase the number of troops on the border with Belarus after the "incident" with helicopters. This was stated in the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.

The head of the Ministry of Defense ordered to increase the number of military personnel on the border and allocate additional forces and means, including combat helicopters
— said in the message.

The reason was "violation of the airspace" by Belarusian helicopters, which were patrolling the border on the morning of August 1. The Polish Foreign Ministry summoned a charge d'affaires and protested against him. The department claims that the violation occurred in the Bialowieza region at a very low altitude. And this allegedly “difficulty” detecting helicopters by radar systems.

At the same time, the Polish army stated that the Belarusian helicopters did not violate the airspace.

The Belarusian Defense Ministry, in turn, said that the accusations of border violations are far-fetched and made to justify the buildup of Polish military forces on the border.

Formerly former Minister of Culture and former Ambassador of Belarus to Poland, France and Spain, and now an escaped oppositionist Pavel Latushko saidthat the “Wagnerites” are entering Poland under the guise of illegal immigrants from Belarus.
