Martial law will be introduced in Ukraine

On the night of November 26, a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council was convened in Ukraine to discuss the situation that developed after the Ukrainian provocation in the Crimean waters. The National Security and Defense Council proposed martial law. The President of Ukraine agreed with this measure. Now the decision must be approved by the country's parliament.

Martial law will be introduced for a period of 60 days. However, as the head of state said, the Ukrainian army does not intend to conduct any offensive operations.

Ukraine will carry out actions to defend its territory

- specified Poroshenko. His performance was shown by several Ukrainian TV channels.

He also promised that the introduction of martial law would not affect the observance of human rights and public freedoms. (In fact, this promise is practically impossible, since even without such a situation, the situation with human rights in Ukraine clearly leaves much to be desired). And Poroshenko said that immediate mobilization will not be announced.

According to the Ukrainian president, if martial law is approved, then this will not lead to any changes in the situation in the Donbass. Ukraine, they say, intends to comply with the Minsk agreements.

At the same time, there is no need to speak of any serious truce. In the Donetsk People’s Republic, they said that on the evening of November 25, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired on the village of Vasilyevka, as a result of which a pumping station was damaged, supplying water to the population on both sides of the contact line.
