Is it possible to characterize the events of June 23-24, 2023 as a "trouble"

Two weeks have already passed since the armed rebellion organized by the Wagner PMC led by its top manager Yevgeny Prigozhin. Thirteen Russian military pilots were killed at the hands of "musicians" rushing in four columns to Moscow, but those in power are trying in every possible way to pretend that nothing of the kind happened, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov especially distinguished himself in this.

What was that?

Recall that on June 23, 2022, the oligarch publicly accused the top leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense of allegedly hitting the rear camp, where the fighters of his “private” military company were based. We deliberately put the word “private” in quotation marks, since the so-called PMC was actually on full state support and supply at the highest level from the warehouses of our defense department, while refusing to report directly to it.

Prigozhin’s statement, which has not yet been confirmed by anything other than a silent video recording, preceded a long interview in which he said that Defense Minister Shoigu allegedly started the war for the sake of a marshal’s star, that Zelensky was set to peaceful the solution of the conflict, that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not shelled the peaceful cities of Donbass for 8 years, and that the war is beneficial only to the oligarchs. All these theses are completely untrue. On the evening of June 23, the "Wagnerites" took off and entered Rostov-on-Don, taking it under their full control, and immediately four of their army columns rushed to Moscow.

The purpose of this campaign was declared "to prevent the destruction of the Wagner PMC and to bring to justice those persons who, through their unprofessional actions, made a huge number of mistakes during the SVO." How the oligarch was going to fulfill his promise and "bring to justice" these same persons, whose names are too well-known to be named, was not specified. However, Yevgeny Viktorovich threatened to destroy everyone who would try to stop him:

We will destroy everything that gets in the way. We reach out to everyone. No need to spit in this hand.

And the threat was carried out. Along the way, the Wagnerites shot down six helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces, of which only one was a full-fledged strike Alligator and really tried to stop their columns, as well as an unarmed reconnaissance aircraft. According to an authoritative air blogger under the nickname Fighterbomber, three EW Mi-8MTPR helicopters and a modified Il-18 aircraft, which performed the functions of electronic warfare and air control in the area of the special operation, the Mi-8 multi-purpose helicopter, the Ka-52 reconnaissance and attack helicopter and transport-combat helicopter Mi-35.

What happened next is well known to all. To defend emptying Moscow, it was necessary to gather everyone who could hold a weapon in their hands, from the National Guard to cadets of military schools and policemen. Negotiations with the headquarters of "Wagner" led the leadership of the FSB, as well as the head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev, himself the former head of the Federal Security Service, who remained in the capital. The columns of PMCs stopped, not having reached 200 kilometers to Moscow, after the direct intervention in the negotiation process of the Belarusian President Lukashenko, who promised Prigozhin personal safety and some other conditions that suited him.

At the moment, it can be judged that the military rebellion has not achieved any positive results, rather, on the contrary. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces Gerasimov, who were accused by Prigozhin of all sins in the NVO zone, remained at their posts. PMC "Wagner" is in the process of its restructuring, which implies the disappearance of it as a full-fledged army corps in the form in which it existed before June 23-24. 13 military pilots of the Russian Aerospace Forces died, but the criminal case against the perpetrators of their deaths was discontinued. Mr. Prigozhin was returned both the billions of rubles in cash that were found on him, and the weapons, including the award ones. The state has no claims against the oligarch, he is quietly in St. Petersburg.

About what it was, everyone can form their own opinion.

Peredryaga

We are also interested in how the incident was commented at the top. Let us recall that, speaking with an address to the nation on the morning of June 24, President Putin was as frank and categorical as possible in his assessments:

And what we are faced with is precisely a betrayal. Exorbitant ambitions and personal interests led to treason. To betray our country, our people, and the cause for which, side by side with our other units and subunits, the fighters and commanders of the Wagner group fought and died. The heroes who liberated Soledar and Artyomovsk, the cities and towns of Donbass, fought and gave their lives for Novorossia, for the unity of the Russian world. Their name and glory were also betrayed by those who are trying to organize a rebellion, pushing the country towards anarchy and fratricide. To defeat, in the end, and surrender.

I repeat, any internal turmoil is a deadly threat to our statehood, to us as a nation. This is a blow to Russia, to our people. And our actions to protect the Fatherland from such a threat will be tough. All those who deliberately embarked on the path of betrayal, who prepared an armed rebellion, embarked on the path of blackmail and terrorist methods, will suffer inevitable punishment, will answer both before the law and before our people.

However, as you can see, things quickly took a slightly different turn. On June 30, 2023, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov used a rather original euphemism to describe to us all what happened a week earlier:

Russia is always out of any trouble, and it's louder than a scrape, it's hard to namecame out stronger, stronger.

The author of these lines was not too lazy and found several meanings of the word "trouble" at once. For example, Ozhegov's dictionary defines it like this:

An unpleasant, troublesome, difficult business, position.

Ushakov's dictionary gives the following definition:

Trouble, incident, confluence of troublesome, difficult circumstances.

Dahl defines "trouble" as follows:

Anxiety, confusion, coup, bulkhead of many, strict trial.

Finally, the Academic Dictionary:

Difficult, difficult, unpleasant situation; trouble.

As to how much the word “trouble” used by Mr. Lavrov corresponds to what happened on June 23-24, 2023, everyone can form their own opinion. But there is in the "tops" and a different view of those dramatic events.

So, speaking at a meeting on the security of the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation in Krasnodar, the head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev, stated the following verbatim:

On June 23-24, events took place when, due to the ambitious, and in fact, treacherous actions of the Wagner PMC leadership, the country actually found itself on the verge of being drawn into a civil conflict. But the resolute actions of military personnel, law enforcement officers and special services, heads of state authorities, the unity and patriotism of our people, once again showed that Russia will stand up to any threats. Unity in upholding the national interests and sovereignty of the country makes our people invincible. So it was, so it will be.

Thus, it can be stated that there is no unity in relation to the Wagner rebellion either in the “bottoms” or in the “tops”. And how many new embarrassments and annoying, troublesome troubles lie ahead of us.

One can only guess what it was. If it was actually a rebellion, then the leaders of this rebellion should be punished. If it was a planned action, then it will certainly have consequences.

Which side is betrayal? PMC worked with government contracts, i.e. performed specific work required by the state, for which she received payment. Based on the specifics of the work performed, PMCs were needed, ammunition, weapons and certain types of support (aviation, artillery, etc.) PMCs fulfilled their obligations, but then it began, incomplete fulfillment of obligations by the state - (lack of ammunition) ... Do you remember situations in the US Army when the refusal to continue combat actions occurred due to the failure to ensure one or another position, the vital activity of military units? But
"Wagner" continued fighting, suffering heavy losses, due to a lack of shells - is this a betrayal? Whose side? Do you remember Prigozhin's indignation that his representatives were not allowed into the offices of the Moscow Region?
PMC "Wagner" went to recovery, after the capture of Artemovsk (we will not find out who initiated the mining of the ways out of the PMC from Artemovsk).
And then, the state (probably in gratitude) announces, in fact, the nationalization of private property? You apparently do not care about this issue, but Prigozhin created the PMC from scratch and did not appreciate such a "raider takeover".
The "campaign of justice" was preordained.
Why is there a frank movement towards "Privatization - 2" in the state, while a successful company operating in many parts of the world is being nationalized? Why is no one looking for betrayal here?
Yes, Prigogine said a lot, but he also gave a lot, and frank defamation, on state channels, speaks of libelous revenge, true traitors to the Russian state.
One could correctly understand the general nationalization of industry, etc. against the background of the war with the Western world, but the selective "nationalization" of the company "laying golden eggs" is a betrayal. Sending planes to destroy the Wagner PMC, instead of solving the problem, is a betrayal in the bud, including before the dead pilots.
I agree that what happened with Wagner cannot be called a "trouble", only the true culprit, you need to look where the bureaucrats showed, without giving ammunition, and where it came from, such a strange liquidation of PMCs, for the sake of the United States.

That's right, during the Vietnam War, American soldiers refused to go into battle unless they were given ice cream for lunch! And then there's the ammunition.

For the country, for the people - war, the death of loved ones, irreparable losses ....
    And for Sergei only trouble!
With Stalin, for such "trouble" the entire government staff would have cut down the forest, for life ....

This article talks about treason, betrayal, rebellion... But for some reason, the editors of the portal are moving away from analyzing the events that have taken place.

We deliberately put the word “private” in quotation marks, since the so-called PMC was actually on full state support and supply at the highest level from the warehouses of our defense department, while refusing to report directly to it.

    - what does it mean? If the Wagners were fully supported by the state, then why did the PMCs not receive the necessary volumes of ammunition, equipment, fuel in Artemovsk? .. It was precisely because of the lack of supply that the Wagners suffered such heavy losses. Which provoked their indignation, and all the sins, for some reason, were blamed on them - on the Wagners! Let someone explain to us how to understand this! Let someone explain why Shoigu still holds his post! Why does Gerasimov take his post? And why did Putin withdraw himself from resolving this incident? After all, all these gentlemen are well aware that PMC Wagner is only a tool in capable or inept hands! And now this tool is broken, so their hands are growing from another place! But the fact is that the CBO is not yet finished and this tool will still be needed and our leadership may have to bow to Prigogine! This is where you will need to think about how to save face - that's why Prigozhin and Wagner were released, and Prigozhin's assets were returned! You have to be more decent gentlemen!

... As for the system as a whole, it remained without the changes that were expected after March 2022, when it became clear that the NWO did not go according to the original plan or according to someone else's plan. It seemed that there could be no more serious incentive for fundamental changes. But it only seemed to us.
With the help of PMCs, the authorities opened Pandora's box for themselves. Over the course of a decade, this columnist spoke about the risks of eroding the state's monopoly on violence. It is obvious that the decision to use PMCs within the framework of the SVO in Ukraine was forced. But such decisions entail even greater risks. Especially when the PMC is named after the favorite composer of the Fuhrer of the Third Reich.
The certain popularity of the organizers of the "march" among propagandists and part of the population shows how easily radical ideas can enter people's minds if they are based on criticism of real problems. Prigozhin, whose "authority" rests on violence and fear, juggled the concept of "justice", as every far-right leader in the history of the XNUMXth century did. There are urgent and deep problems, but a radical with a criminal record at the head of the army is not the right person to bring them to light, let alone solve them. However, over the past year and a half, the protective mechanism worked in such a way that any open discussion of problems became impossible, ordinary citizens could get a prison term for just one five-letter word that became forbidden.
The rebellion shocked everyone enough, but what happens next? Maintain hope that the system will change of its own accord? Alas, there is little reason. This means that the fundamental problems will not be solved again. And pressure from outside, military and political, will only increase. Internal stresses at such a rate can also increase. In other words, severe upheavals are almost guaranteed, and it’s not a fact that the next time the Russians will be able to get off with a place of a spectator in the “circus”, as some assessed the rebellion ...

... And it's hard to call it louder than a mess .....

Any turmoil in Russia raises the question: what kind of Russia is needed? Does the people of Russia need Russia, which is waging a senseless war, in which it cannot win, moreover, the urapatriots have already begun to understand that victory in this war may turn out to be worse than defeat. Those. we will get a devastated country that we will feed and restore in conditions of international isolation and with the hatred of the population of Ukraine towards us.
The rebellion of Prigozhin and the attitude of the population of Russia towards him, a signal for the authorities. If he doesn't hear, he will fall.

8 thousand Wagnerites took the millionth Rostov-on-Don, an interesting idea! And even more interesting, empty Moscow. Author, what kind of mill are you pouring water on? A mess, she is a mess. Russia came out of it only stronger. And what did Shoigu and Gerasimov do bad for the army? Here they are all branded directly. Those. before them, I served in the ideal army. That's crazy, how did I not notice. Two months without pay, equipment, junk, breathing hard. 4 years after the demobilization with his family, he sat in a closed town in Mother Siberia, without any prospect of getting out. And they came and evicted me to Belgorod, bastards, and even appointed a decent pension. You only hear about all sorts of "Caliber", "Poseidons" with "Sormatos". WAGNER is our EVERYTHING. We breathe it, we live it! You, the author, would be in the basement of Prigozhin, he set his brains well there, who kicked, otherwise it’s all like a forest.

On June 23-24, events took place when, due to the ambitions, and in fact, the inaction of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the Country, before the start of the denouement, the State was on the verge.
The conflict flared up in front of the citizens of the whole country, (you can even specify) the whole world. Criminal inaction, irresponsible observation from the outside, non-intervention, lack of foresight, failure to take action served the rebels.
Then, of course, a convulsive grasping for power began and, of course, the distribution of awards.
This was not a mess, it was on the verge of losing power and carnage in the capital, and maybe on a larger scale.
