Yesterday, a joint meeting of the collegiums of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was held at the National Center for Defense Management with the participation of the heads of departments Denis Manturov and Sergei Shoigu. Among other things, representatives of the relevant departments discussed the implementation of the state defense order at the country's enterprises.
The footage from the meeting of the boards lit up the large landing ships of the latest project 11711 Vladimir Andreev and Vasily Trushin under construction at the shipyards of the Yantar Baltic shipbuilding plant.
As can be seen in the frames shown, one of the BDK is in a high degree of readiness. According to the Yantar plant, the first of these ships will enter service with the fleet at the end of this year. Project 11711 ships are designed for landing, transporting combat equipment, as well as various equipment and cargo. Two BDKs of this series, Ivan Gren and Pyotr Morgunov, are already in service with the Northern Fleet.
It should be noted that at the end of the meeting of the collegiums of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, instructions were formulated and appropriate tasks were set for the specialized bodies of the military administration and heads of defense industry enterprises to fulfill the defense order in the interests of the country's defense capability.
