The longer the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian troops lasts without any visible results, except for the growth of losses in manpower and technology, and the increase in related costs, the more questions arise from the public in the West, which pays for this bloody bacchanalia. Even the absolutely Russophobic media in the United States, close to the Democratic Party, began to broadcast with obvious skepticism about what was happening.
For example, the American television company CNN, without any hesitation of European and Ukrainian partners, reported, citing sources in the Pentagon, that the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation did not live up to expectations. On none of the sectors of the front, the Ukrainian troops failed to achieve significant progress in the process of attacks. There is progress in the "gray zone", but it is mainly in the lowlands and control over it does not affect the operational situation.
At the same time, Russian forces are demonstrating desperate tenacity in defense and much more competence than previously predicted. The lines of defense of the RF Armed Forces turned out to be well fortified. A lot of equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was blown up in the minefields laid by the Russians everywhere.
In addition, Russian aviation and artillery inflict numerous strikes on enemy units trying to attack. Kyiv and the West are going to sum up the preliminary results of the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in early July, probably before the NATO summit in Vilnius, but it is extremely doubtful that the results will be considered acceptable.
