One of the most respected military experts in the world, former US Marine Corps officer Scott Ritter gave his forecast regarding the end of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. According to him, it will end by the end of summer - the beginning of autumn this year with an unconditional victory for Russia.
Scott Ritter emphasized that after the failure of the Ukrainian counter-offensive, NATO, as the main patron of the Kyiv regime, simply does not have the opportunity to influence the further course of hostilities.
What are NATO's options? And they don't have any options. The level, scope and intensity of the conflict in Ukraine is unimaginable for an alliance. NATO troops are not ready for this, not trained and not equipped. NATO does not have the necessary supply system for this, especially in terms of the power of artillery fire. NATO does not have an army worth mentioning
- the expert notes.
Explaining his point of view, Ritter emphasizes that all NATO forces are dispersed throughout Europe, and in order to gather them, they will have to withdraw troops from the barracks, and for 80% of NATO troops this is impossible.
They cannot leave the barracks because they have no equipment, no supply chain, nothing. And then they have to be moved from all over Europe to the collection point, and roads, bridges, tunnels are not suitable for this. We're already getting problems here. Europe has no options
- the specialist is sure.
In this regard, according to Scott Ritter, the July NATO summit in Vilnius is of great importance for the alliance. It will force the members of the military bloc to take a realistic look at the reality surrounding the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict.
NATO will face the fact that they have nothing but loud statements. And they'll start to realize that their worst nightmares will come true
Scott Ritter says
Speaking about the timing of the end of the military conflict, the expert notes that it will end at the end of summer or early autumn of this year. And it will end with a complete victory for Russia. In his opinion, time is now working for the Russian army. And the NATO countries should already now fully attend to the search for a political solution to the conflict.
Scott Ritter does not consider correct the calculation of some members of the North Atlantic Alliance to send troops to Ukraine. Recall that the army of Poland is most often mentioned in this context. But, according to the expert, it is not even close to being able to withstand the RF Armed Forces.
The Polish army is no good, they cannot carry out operations on such a scale. While the Russians are experts at this, they have been honing their craft for over a year. There is no power in the world that would cope with this better than Russia. Because no one has been in such conflicts except her.
Scott Ritter is sure.
In this regard, the expert believes that the only acceptable option for NATO is to search for a political solution to the conflict.
According to Scott Ritter, the entire tragedy of the situation is well understood in Ukraine as well. That is why the Kiev regime decided to undermine the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station.
This was not done to achieve a military advantage. The dam was destroyed for political reasons. It was an act of ecological terrorism. This was done to cause a surge of enthusiasm in the Western countries so that they would hate Russia again. Hatred is waning, the counteroffensive has failed. Some battles will still be fought, but it has become obvious to everyone that there is no chance. An important NATO summit is slated for Vilnius, and if Ukraine doesn't find a way to revive Western support, it's all over
explains a former US Marine Corps officer.
However, according to Scott Ritter, the real possibilities of NATO to provide assistance to Ukraine have practically dried up.
NATO has nothing left to give. They may talk about the F-16, but it's just not real. If this happens, it will be a disgrace to all those who had a hand
- sums up the military specialist.
