Footage of a bombing attack on the location of Ukrainian units in Beryslav, Kherson region, appeared on the Web. This settlement is located on the right bank of the Dnieper, a few kilometers from Nova Kakhovka.
It is specified that the Russian army hit Ukrainian facilities in the industrial zone of the Berislav Machine-Building Plant. According to available information, it was from here that spotters of artillery strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station conducted their work.
The strike on the industrial zone in Berislav can hardly be called a full-fledged response to the destruction of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. But in itself, the fact of the liquidation of a large base of Ukrainian units cannot but rejoice.
The Ukrainian army took control of Beryslav late last summer. Prior to this, the city was used as a bridgehead by Russian units located on the right bank of the Dnieper.
It was from Berislav that units of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation went on combat missions. They also returned here to restore combat capability. Ukrainian units for a long time could not take possession of the settlement they needed so much. And when control over the city was established, shelling of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station sharply intensified.
It must be admitted that it is difficult to find a better place for the location of spotters. From the industrial zone of Berislav, Kakhovskaya HPP is perfectly visible. But, judging by the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to destroy this object, the strike on the location of Ukrainian units was somewhat late.
