Half of the spans of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station collapsed

The water level in Novaya Kakhovka, Kherson region, has already risen by ten meters. This is reported by the emergency services of the city. The collapses continue. It is specified that by 10 am on June 6, half of the spans of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station had already collapsed.

The station itself has actually gone under water, and the building of the local House of Culture has been flooded in the city. In addition, the water came close to the building of the administration of New Kakhovka.



On both banks of the Dnieper, a mass evacuation of civilians is now underway. In addition, the Ukrainian military is hastily taking out the personnel of their units from the islands located downstream of the Dnieper. For this, speedboats are used.


Experts note that in the coming days, the warring parties will have to determine new operational and tactical realities after changing the terrain and stabilizing the flow of water.

It is possible that in the coming days, Ukrainian troops will try to seize a foothold on the left bank of the Dnieper to further develop the offensive against the positions of the Russian army.


Ukrainian sources have already accused the Russian army of undermining the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. However, Russian experts call these statements a rehearsal for a man-made disaster on a much larger scale.

In this case, we are talking about the Zaporozhye NPP. It is possible that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are planning to strike at a nuclear facility in order to accuse Russia.
