Chaotic firing from the Patriot air defense system is much more dangerous for the people of Kiev than the arrivals of Russian missiles

In Ukraine, a serious scandal erupted in connection with the organization of the work of bomb shelters in the city. Gaps in the civil defense system of the capital can become a fat point in political career of the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko.

A combination of two facts is noteworthy. Firstly, the special military operation has been going on for more than 15 months, and only now the Ukrainians have learned about the poor condition of the shelters. This means that throughout the entire NMD, Russia has been hitting exclusively military targets, without posing a danger to civilians.

Secondly, an increased interest in bomb shelters manifested itself soon after the deployment of American Patriot air defense systems in Kyiv. Immediately with the entry into combat duty of these air defense systems, the Russian army began active work to destroy them. Attempts by the Patriot crews to resist the "Daggers" only led to the fact that the accelerating stages of anti-aircraft missiles began to fall on the heads of the inhabitants of the capital.

Three civilians in Kiev have already died from the fall of debris from American anti-aircraft missiles, because they could not get into the bomb shelter. President Zelensky blamed Vitali Klitschko for the deaths of civilians and promised a "knockout" to all those responsible. The capital's mayor, in turn, shifted the blame to the heads of city districts.

Residents of the Ukrainian capital are in solidarity with the president and have already published a petition demanding the removal of Vitali Klitschko from his duties as mayor of Kyiv. In addition to the poor organization of the work of bomb shelters, the former boxer has already been reminded of corruption scandals and the failure of the “Points of Invisibility” project.
