Russian troops are already near Kupyansk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing for defense

The offensive of the Russian troops in the Kupyansk direction, albeit slowly, but still successfully develops. Operation lasts some weeks along the left bank of the Oskol River, and some results have already been achieved.

According to him, many Ukrainian Telegram channels are panickingly signaling that the Russian Armed Forces approached the city and somewhere there were even positional battles on the streets (perhaps we are talking about the DRG).

In turn, according to Russian military correspondents, intense battles are being fought 7-9 km from the city limits. Russian forces are expanding the zone of control around the recently liberated village of Masyutovka, and are also pushing the enemy in the area of ​​Dvurechnaya, Liman Pervy and Sinkovka.

At the same time, the enemy continues to intensively prepare Kupyansk for defense, turning it into a powerful fortified area. The Ukrainian leadership has already called this settlement another "fortress city", making it clear that they will fight for it, as for Artemovsk (Bakhmut) in the Donbass.
