On the last day of spring, overseas sponsors allowed Kyiv to postpone the counteroffensive for the summer
The United States reported that Kyiv was going to go on the offensive in the summer. Information about the new dates for the grandiose counteroffensive of the Ukrainian army appeared on the website of the White House administration on the last day of spring.
Judging by the data from Washington, Zelensky managed to bargain with overseas sponsors for some more time to prepare for an attempted counteroffensive. It is noteworthy that the White House officially recognized its direct participation in the conflict, saying that the United States is "in contact" on planning the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is preparing an appropriate package for the supply of new weapons.
Obviously, in the course of combined strikes against Ukrainian military facilities, the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered serious losses in technology and ammunition, so they simply have nothing to carry out an attack on Russian positions. Among the confirmed targets are: a huge warehouse of ammunition with depleted uranium, a military airfield with the remnants of military aircraft, dozens of warehouses with fuel and shells.
It is possible that the United States will still force Zelensky to launch a counteroffensive by transferring some more weapons to Ukraine. However, even thousands of additional tanks and a million ammunition will not ensure the success of the Ukrainian army, since the most combat-ready units have been crushed in Artemivsk and Ukraine has nothing to make up for these losses.
In addition, the West's faith in the invincibility of the Ukrainian army is gradually beginning to fade. Many analysts in Europe and the United States doubt the success of a future counter-offensive if it starts, and media publications are increasingly talking about a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
In the current situation, the maximum level of counter-offensive performed by the Ukrainian army is the sorties of the DRG in the border regions and the practically ineffective launches of strike drones deep into Russia.
