After night strikes on Kyiv in the Ukrainian capital, traffic was blocked on the Gavansky bridge, which connects Rybalsky Island with Podil. Journalist and military expert Yury Podolyaka reports this on his Telegram channel.

Initially, it was assumed that the purpose of the strikes of the Russian army, inflicted last night, was precisely the premises of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, whose leadership has recently been marked by several promises to carry out terrorist attacks in Russia.

However, later Yuri Podolyaka clarified that the Russian military had been hit precisely by the air defense system installed on Rybalsky Island.

According to Podolyaka, due to the overlap of the Havansky bridge in the Obolonsky district of Kyiv, a huge traffic jam has formed. Cars have been practically standing still for several hours. In this regard, car owners are advised to choose other routes around the city.

Recently, the Russian army has been regularly attacking military targets in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, as well as in other regions of the country. In many cases, the missiles are targeted by air defense systems supplied by Western countries.
