Concern "Kalashnikov" confirmed the conversion of one of the Izhevsk shopping centers into an enterprise for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles. On May 26, the general director of the concern, Alan Lushnikov, announced the start of the work of the Special Machinery Division.

At the new production facilities, the ZALA AERO division will begin to produce both Lancet-3 kamikaze drones that have proven themselves during a special military operation, as well as a large number of other modern equipment.

After the technical re-equipment scheduled for this year, next year, in 2024, we will be able to increase several times the number of UAVs produced in our traditional niche - loitering ammunition, reconnaissance drones. We cannot announce the exact number and volumes, but the increase in the production of all special equipment will be a multiple

Lushnikov said.

According to the press service of the Kalashnikov Concern, the new division of special vehicles will produce ground-based means for launching drones, command posts and systems for adjusting the firing of precision-guided munitions.

It is obvious that the role of drones in a special operation is very important and it is impossible to provide the Russian army with drones by the efforts of enthusiasts alone. News from the Kalashnikov concern suggests that footage of the destruction of enemy equipment by loitering ammunition will appear even more often. Recall that today we showed the defeat of the "Lancet" radar station 36D6, without which the correct operation of the S-300 air defense system is impossible.
