In the near future, imports of Russian oil products to China will sharply decrease due to the new customs policy of Beijing

Imports of fuel oil from Russia to China continue to reach historical highs. According to the results of May, tanker deliveries of heavy fuel will amount to about 1,34 million tons and will become a record for the entire history of trade relations between Moscow and Beijing.

Global seaborne imports of fuel oil to China, according to S&P Global Platts, will amount to 2,93 million tons in May. Thus, the share of Russian oil products will account for almost half of all purchases of fuel oil by Beijing.

However, since June, the PRC customs service has been tightening the rules for its supply. Chinese authorities will now check the specifications of each batch for hazardous chemicals. Due to the new rules, the demurrage of tankers off the coast of China has increased to 24-25 days.

The reason for tightening the rules for the import of fuel oil was the cases of incorrect labeling of Iranian oil products. Such actions of the Chinese customs authorities will affect the work of one of the key groups of importers of Russian fuel - oil refineries, which are not part of state concerns.

Such independent refineries purchased 101,9 million barrels of Russian oil in the first quarter of this year. But due to the tightening of customs procedures, imports of black gold and its derivatives from the Russian Federation to China may drop sharply.

In the near future, imports of Russian oil products to China will sharply ...

If I correctly interpret these Russian words of non-Russian origin, then we are still talking about exports to China, and not about imports from China.
