The North Atlantic Alliance will not be satisfied with either Russia's victory in the conflict with Ukraine, or its defeat. This was stated by the head of the British Air Force Mike Wigston. In an interview with The Telegraph, he said that Russia would pose a danger to the North Atlantic Alliance even if it were defeated in the Ukrainian conflict.
When the conflict in Ukraine ends and Ukraine restores its borders, as it should, we will have a damaged, vindictive and brutal Russia whose means of harming us is air attacks, missile attacks and submarine attacks.
Mike Wigston said.
This means that even a military defeat of Russia in the conflict with Ukraine will not satisfy the North Atlantic Alliance. And it is not at all the main goal of the current policy NATO.
Living Russia, even defeated on the battlefield, is not needed by the United States or its allies in the military bloc. The West is well aware that neither politically nor militarily Russia will become weaker in any outcome of the conflict in Ukraine.
It will still remain a nuclear power, whose interests will at least have to be taken into account. Consequently, it is necessary to achieve, if not the complete destruction of Russia, then at least its division into many small states.
Division and domination - this is the true goal of the North Atlantic Alliance in relation to Russia. And the West is already beginning to talk about it openly.
