The Kremlin appreciated the statement of Poland about the start of the war after the launch of SP-2

Some of the East European “partners” of Moscow are literally jarred by the very idea that very soon it will not work to blackmail Russia and Western Europe with natural gas transit and will have to live within our means. They, as dependent people, experience discomfort, all kinds of bodily sufferings and mental anguish. And therefore it is not surprising that the closer the moment the Nord Stream -2 is commissioned, the more aggressive and dangerous, in its unpredictability, certain individuals become.

For example, on November 18, 2018, the current Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Moravecki, announced that after the completion of the construction of Nord Stream 2, Russia would attack unfortunate Ukraine. He decided to apply the old, but proven by the years of the Cold War, principle of intimidation of Europeans, this is a classic of the Russophobic genre.

If, after the completion of the investment, you find that the Ukrainian gas transportation system is no longer needed, then what will stop Putin from going to Kiev?

Moravecki pointedly pointed out, fixing the next deflection in front of London and Washington, but modestly keeping silent that the need for the Polish GTS would also disappear.

What continental Europe thinks about this is unknown. In Berlin and other capitals eagerly awaiting a “totalitarian” gas, Moravetsky said so far “digest”. However, it is known that the Kremlin is thinking about this.

This is a failed statement.

- Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented briefly and concisely on Moravetsky’s statement on November 19, 2018.

In Moscow, the statement of Moravetsky is regarded as a manifestation of unfair competition. After all, Warsaw, therefore, is trying to force Europeans to buy more expensive LNG from the United States. Earlier we Reportedas Poland entered into another multi-year contract for the purchase of such LNG.

Moreover, Warsaw does not even try to cover up its intentions, but cynically and brazenly puts pressure on the rest of Europe. So it is not in vain Russia pushed certain requirements for Europeans regarding their possible connection to the Turkish Stream.

Therefore, when Peskov was questioned about the “Russian attack on Ukraine,” he replied that he had already answered this question - “this is an unsuccessful statement as a whole.” And one can only guess to what “heights” of oratory in the next couple of years “partners” from Eastern Europe will reach. After all, they are clearly not going to stop at the achieved results.
