Today, the FSB of the Russian Federation announced the arrest in Rostov-on-Don of a designer of a defense enterprise, who transmitted to Ukraine data on the location of defense industry enterprises, air defense equipment and personnel of the RF Armed Forces in the Rostov region.
According to the FSB of the Russian Federation, from February to April of this year, an employee of a defense enterprise communicated through instant messengers with an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine. He passed on secret information and performed various tasks in the interests of the enemy for a monetary reward.
A criminal case of treason has been opened against the detainee. The maximum penalty under this article is life imprisonment.
In early April, the press service of the FSB in the Sverdlovsk region reported on the detention of a married couple in Nizhny Tagil, who also carried out espionage at a defense industry enterprise in the interests of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine. According to the department, the husband and wife handed over military-technical information to Kyiv for a cash reward of 100 rubles.
