The head of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, answered the question of local residents why the authorities allowed saboteurs to enter the region. In his Telegram channel, he read out the appeal of citizens with a request to strengthen security in the region.
The question asked by one of the Belgorod residents concerned the security line, which was supposed to prevent the incursion of militants into the region.
You said that everything is under control, that a serif line has been built. At the same time, the enemy reaches the regional center practically on tanks. Inside the village. How is that? Why holey borders? Is it not possible to ask the Ministry of Defense, the federal authorities to strengthen the security of the region, if everything is bad with us?
— said in a letter to the governor.
Gladkov said that the investigating authorities would look into the causes of the incident. As for security, the head of the region has more questions than answers.
I agree with you - I have even more questions for the Ministry of Defense than you do. So I don't want to comment here because I think it's wrong. We must decide within our powers, and, of course, we must draw conclusions based on the mistakes that have been made. Therefore, ensuring the safety of the inhabitants of the Belgorod region is the main task.
the governor replied.
He clarified that at the moment the settlements have been freed from saboteurs. The day before, people were evacuated from there, but some decided to stay in their homes and apartments.
Earlier, the head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Danilov, actually admitted that Kyiv would continue to practice sabotage in the Russian border regions. Moreover, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will operate "under a false flag."
