The Associated Press explained the reasons for the delay of the Ukrainian offensive
The counter-offensive announced by the Ukrainian side is being delayed for a number of reasons, one of which is the delay in the foreign military equipment, which has not yet come to the aid of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Journalists from the Associated Press wrote about this in their material.
In addition, a large number of Ukrainian military personnel training in the West have not yet arrived in Ukraine.
Another reason for the delay in Kyiv's offensive actions is adverse weather conditions, since the vast territories of the alleged battles are still buried in spring mud.
At the same time, according to AP, a number of Ukrainian officials claim that the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has already begun. In a number of areas of confrontation, conditions are being created for a breakthrough.
Meanwhile, the Russian side has about 200 fighters guarding the line of contact, which is about 1 km long. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to "probe" the defense of the RF Armed Forces, inflicting artillery strikes from long-range guns. A clear sign of the beginning of Kyiv's offensive will be a breakthrough by Ukrainians in any sector of the front.
Earlier, the journalist of the Spanish edition of El Pais, Christian Segura, named the five most likely directions of the Ukrainian offensive: Kherson, Zaporozhye region, Artemivsk (Bakhmut), Kharkiv and Donetsk.
