On the night of May 16, Russian units hit an American Patriot anti-aircraft missile system during an attack on military facilities in Kyiv. Turkish sources put forward two versions of what happened.

Before his destruction Patriot released the entire ammunition of 32 guided missiles, the price of which was $5,275 million per unit. The cost of the battery itself is from 500 million to 1,5 billion dollars, depending on the complexity of the equipment.



According to the first version of what happened, after the discovery of the air defense system, he was attacked by a hypersonic missile "Dagger". At the same time, the calculation of the complex, due to panic, released the entire ammunition load, reacting to a rocket launched from the north side. The target was not hit and destroyed the Patriot.

According to the second version, the air defense system was detected by means of electronic warfare. Next, the Patriot launched missiles at decoys, after which it was destroyed by the "Dagger". At the same time, the MIM-104 missiles fired by the anti-aircraft missile system did not hit targets and exploded in the air, some of them hit random settlements.

According to the Rybar telegram channel, there were three launchers in total in the positional area. One of them was liquidated, the second was seriously damaged. The third avoided damage in principle.

Two installations stood side by side, and the third - behind the building. The Russian "Dagger" flew between the installations, but closer to the first: there was a detonation of the fuel. Pieces of the first installation and pieces of soil / asphalt riddled the second

– said the source of the channel.


Meanwhile, the production and maintenance of Patriot air defense systems is very expensive for the United States, and their losses are noticeable for the stock of American air defense forces. Thus, the Houthis have destroyed a significant number of missiles for these complexes in the past seven years, and Washington was forced to replenish Riyadh with their stocks.

    And as it has now become clear, the US needs the Patriot air defense system for only one thing, to suck it in for suckers from NATO at a fabulous price. But having acquired this complex, the countries of the NATO alliance, as they were not protected, will remain unprotected, only the United States will become richer by 150 million dollars from each such complex sold.
    If the United States did not supply the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, then Russia today would continue to believe in its tactical and technical characteristics, which in fact turned out to be a bluff.
    In vain they put him in Ukraine - in vain! Now many will understand that - there is something. And if this happens more than once, then the Patriot air defense system will face a complete fiasco and oblivion. Maybe this is a good weapon, but only in the war with the Papuans, who, apart from arrows and spears, have nothing else (but there are no PAPUAS in Europe - Russia in Europe). Now it has become clear that the territory of the United States and its aircraft carrier fleet are literally defenseless against the Russian Dagger (aka Iskander).
    One Iskander launched from a Russian submarine - one aircraft carrier is minus, and a volley of THREE such missiles is provided for at once on an aircraft carrier.
    Even in the event of a non-nuclear conflict between the US and Russia, the US simply has nothing to bring down our Daggers.
