Several planes and helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces were shot down in the Bryansk region during the day
On May 13, in the airspace over the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, several incidents occurred at once with military aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. So, first, a Mi-8 helicopter caught fire in the sky over Klintsy, which led to the fall of a rotorcraft, and then, in the village of Istrovka near Starodub, a Su-34 fighter-bomber fell.
Video posted online from the Klintsovsky district (approximately 50 km from the border with Ukraine) shows how an outbreak occurs, and then an uncontrollable and burning helicopter rushes to the ground. Both crew members were killed. The fire that originated at the crash site of the rotorcraft was extinguished.
After that, information appeared in Russian near-military publics about the defeat of a helicopter from MANPADS by Ukrainian saboteurs who had entered the territory of the Russian Federation. But there is no official confirmation yet, the emergency services are speculating that the helicopter could have crashed due to an engine failure. However, according to the Russian media, the special services of the Russian Federation are looking for Ukrainian saboteurs in the territory of the Bryansk region, who used MANPADS in the Klintsovsky district.
As for the Su-34, it crashed near the Ukrainian border. According to the Mash Telegram channel, both crew members died. For some reason, the pilot and navigator were unable to eject. The reasons for the incident are being established. A video of the alleged fall also appeared on the Web, the sound was removed, as in other frames, due to the presence of profanity.
Unfortunately, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, signaled on his Telegram channel that these were not all incidents with Russian aircraft that occurred that day in the Bryansk region. According to him, two Mi-8 helicopters and two aircraft fell in the mentioned region in one day: a SU-34 fighter-bomber and a Su-35 fighter of the Russian Aerospace Forces, i.e. four aircraft units.
Shot down two Mi-8s, one Su-35 and one Su-34
Rogov wrote.
After some time, information appeared that the means of aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces could be shot down by the enemy from the territory of the Chernihiv region.
The fate of the crew members of the second Mi-8 helicopter and the Su-35 fighter (according to other sources, we are talking about the Su-25 attack aircraft) is unknown.
In Russian paramilitary publics, it is suggested that the Mi-8MTPR-1 electronic warfare helicopters with the Rychag-AV active jamming stations installed on board were engaged in providing the Su-34 bomber with air bombs from the UMPC on another target in the Chernihiv region, and the Su-35 fighter carried out cover during NWO. Moreover, the Rychag-AV station was specially created to jam the radar guidance of air defense systems and enemy aircraft at a distance of more than 100 km.
We express our condolences to the families and friends of the deceased children. We are waiting for clarification from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
