How much has Russia lost from US sanctions?

3
Already four years into the Russian the economy the sanctions imposed against Moscow by Western countries are influencing. One of the leading providers of financial information, Bloomberg has calculated the losses from these sanctions.

According to a Bloomberg Economics study, our country's economy is six percent smaller than it could have been if restrictive measures had not been introduced. Experts say that Russia’s gross domestic product is now ten percent less than what was predicted at the end of 2013 (when there were no sanctions yet).

Of course, not only Western actions are to blame, but also the fall in world oil prices. However, sanctions also played a role in the fact that the Russian economy is not developing at the pace that was previously predicted.

The conclusion of the specialists is not encouraging: the gap between the potential and actual growth of the Russian economy continues to widen. And this means that restrictive measures have a negative effect for her for a long time.

Part of the gap between forecasts and actual performance is likely to result from the sustained effect of sanctions already imposed and potential over the past five years.

- said Scott Johnson, one of the experts at Bloomberg Economics.

The Russian government believes that its economic reforms, as well as attracting investment, can give GDP growth of more than three percent by 2021. However, in the West this forecast is called into question, as sanctions continue to apply.

It should be noted that after the Crimean peninsula reunited with Russia, Moscow was accused of interfering in the affairs of Ukraine in the West and introduced anti-Russian sanctions. Moreover, they affected not only individuals and companies, but also entire sectors. In connection with the so-called “Skripal case” and other false pretexts, the West threatens to tighten the noose around Russia even more closely. At the same time, the truth or falsehood of anti-Russian accusations, the presence or absence of evidence of Russian guilt is of little concern to some, since it is important for certain forces to prevent the development of Russia as a strong and independent power. Thus, Moscow will be a priori guilty of all mortal sins, be it the poor state of health of any spy or the malfunctioning of GPS systems.

And I'm funny at all of their research. What are you talking about? About GDP (gross domestic product). And what, in Russia began to produce less? Not. Businesses got up? Not. Then what is the conversation about?
Almost every day new enterprises open in Russia. Here are the statistics for 2014.

For example, Russia is among the seven largest exporters of refrigerators and washing machines in the world. Today, the largest buyers of Russian washing machines are Poland (223 thousand units), Kazakhstan (208 thousand), Ukraine (152 thousand), Italy (105 thousand) and Germany (22 thousand). Deliveries are underway to Hong Kong and other countries of Yu.V. Asia. In total, 45% of exports go to the territory of the former USSR, 55% - to non-CIS countries.
And since 2015, the profit from grain exports exceeds the profit from arms exports.
And by the way, (this is so, by the way) today, the US industry can offer the world basically only weapons. Everything else - consumer electronics, smartphones, computers, machine tools, software, and even underpants with T-shirts - they have only been importing for a long time. Their president has turned into a sales manager and takes the slightest opportunity to push arms sales.
Maybe Bloomberg Economics confused Russia with the United States?

Google to help you comrade. Here, by the way, another news from the USA came. It turns out that American metallurgy has degraded to the point where it can no longer produce the ultra-high quality pipes needed to produce shale oil. And this led to a paradoxical situation: if you introduce (as was announced) barrage tariffs on foreign pipes, then the only economic effect will be a decrease in the competitiveness of American shale companies, and if (for any reason) the import of high-quality pipes in the USA ceases altogether, then it will grow to full growth the question will arise that new shale deposits cannot be adequately serviced. Now they are scratching their turnips. And again (due to low temperatures) they buy Russian gas.
