The Ukrainian army during the retreat tries to destroy the entire infrastructure, using the tactics of scorched earth. Footage of damage to a hydraulic structure near the village of Vodiane, southwest of Avdiivka, appeared on the Web.
Undermining the dam was carried out in order to slow down the advance of the RF Armed Forces, which continue their offensive in the Avdiivka area. Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two more hydraulic structures on the system of cascade reservoirs in this area. Despite the creation of additional obstacles for the Russian army, the enemy is unable to hold their positions.
Yesterday it was reported about the completion of the assault on Vodyany and the continuation of attacks in the direction of the settlement of Pervomaiskoye. The enemy is trying unsuccessfully to counterattack, but the initiative is retained by the Russian army. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, yesterday the aviation of the southern group of Russian troops in the Avdeevka area liquidated the reserves of the 110th separate motorized rifle brigade of the enemy.
The destruction of civilian infrastructure is a favorite tactic of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. But, as can be seen from the example of the resurgent Mariupol, Russia is promptly restoring cities and villages destroyed by Ukrainian troops.
