US ready to start cold war, but not with Russia

US Vice President Michael Pence announced that a cold war could begin between Washington and Beijing. Thus, the United States actually put forward an ultimatum to China, demanding concessions from the country's leadership.

In an interview with the American newspaper The Washington Post, Pence emphasized that Washington needs China to change its approach to certain areas, such as economic policy and defense industry. Only in this case, Beijing can avoid the Cold War with the United States of America.

Pence placed some hopes on the upcoming G30 summit in Argentina, which will be held November 1 - December XNUMX. As planned, as part of the event, US President Donald Trump will meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

In the event that China refuses to comply with American conditions, it will face a confrontation with the United States. Pence said the following:

Well, so be it ... We really believe that we are now in a strong position

This is not the first time Pence has made anti-Chinese statements. Earlier, he claimed that the Celestial Empire is interfering in the internal affairs of the United States, trying to achieve a change in the American president, and even "manipulating American democracy."

It is hard to expect that Beijing will rush to fulfill Washington's ultimate demands. It seems that the latter will have to wage a cold war on two fronts, given how Russian-American relations are developing.
