Ukraine from April 17 resumes the export of electricity to Slovakia. The capacity will be 200 MW every hour, according to the Ukrenergo Telegram channel.
The decision to resume deliveries to Europe was made subject to the priority provision of Ukrainian consumers and an excess of its production in the country's energy system.
From Monday, April 17, Ukraine can start exporting electricity to Slovakia in the amount of 200 MW every hour. The corresponding auction for the distribution of the capacity of interstate communications in the direction of Slovakia was held today on the delivery date of April 17
the national energy company said in a statement.
The auction in question distributed 100% of the bandwidth among four bidders. It resumed on April 11 and the export of cheap Ukrainian electricity to Poland and Moldova continues.
To date, the maximum capacity allowed by ENTSO-E for exporting electricity to Europe is 400 MW. The company added that Ukrenergo, together with European colleagues, is working on the possibility of increasing this volume.
