NATO exercises called a laughing stock for Russia
NATO exercises called Trident Juncture 2018 ("Single Trident-2018"), which took place in Norway in late October - early November, became the most widespread in 16 years. However, the result is deplorable: now in the Western press they are called the laughing stock for Russia.
Daily Express noted that 45 thousand troops, tens of thousands of units participated in NATO maneuvers in the Baltic Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean equipment. They passed near the Russian border. It must have been planned as a “clear allusion” to Moscow. But the result was miserable.
Firstly, it was not possible to produce any formidable impression on Russia. Secondly, experts noted, this adventure itself was dangerous and short-sighted, since it provoked a nuclear state.
The publication concluded that the exercises of the North Atlantic Alliance did not end in the most favorable way:
