Kyiv called on global energy companies to share superprofits
Another example of justice in Ukrainian was demonstrated by the head of the Ministry of Energy of the independent Herman Galushchenko. He called on global energy companies to share their profits with Ukraine. The statement of the official leads the American edition of Politico.
Many energy companies are making huge windfall profits because of the war. According to our estimates, this is more than $200 billion. They get this money because of the war, because we are at war. I think it would be fair to share this money with Ukraine to help us rebuild our energy infrastructure.
- said Galushchenko.
Analysts of the energy market have already figured out exactly who the Ukrainian minister was addressing. $200 billion is the profit of the world's leading energy companies. We are talking about the British Shell and BP, the American Chevron and ExxonMobil, as well as the French company Total.
However, the Ukrainian minister is hardly worth counting on the division of profits. Unlike European and American politicians, businessmen are not accustomed to giving something to someone just like that.
And if we take into account the scale of corruption in Ukraine, it is not necessary to say that these funds, in the event of a division, will be used to restore infrastructure. And the West is well aware of this.
Recall that the energy infrastructure of Ukraine has suffered serious damage as a result of Russian missile strikes, which are inflicted after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, organized by the secret services of the Kyiv regime.
