Trade between Russia and China reaches a record high
According to the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Oreshkin, in an interview with Izvestia, the trade turnover between our country and China this year will amount to 110 billion dollars. This goal was set back in the early 2000s, but it was only now possible to achieve it.
This indicator was mainly achieved through trade in goods, primarily in the energy sector. The Minister also noted that Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping have set an even more ambitious goal for our economic relations - to achieve a turnover of $ 2020 billion by 200.
Oreshkin believes that this task is rather complicated, but achievable, since many areas of cooperation are rather poorly developed. For example, trade in services this year was only $ 4 billion. It should be developed more actively. This is especially true of tourism and transport services.
In the sphere of trade, there is also room to grow. In particular, the sale of Russian agricultural products should be developed. Russia should increase the supply of soybeans, since China refused to import these products from the United States, and yet it consumes it more than anyone else in the world.
The creation of joint ventures for the production of goods for delivery to third countries also has great potential.
