The press service of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) announced the signing of an agreement of intent between the Aviation Complex. S.V. Ilyushin and the Kazakhstan Aviation Plant.

The agreement provides for the creation in Kazakhstan of production of a modernized version of the light multi-purpose aircraft IL-103.

For the boundless steppes of Kazakhstan, it is difficult to come up with a more suitable means for quick movement.

As follows from the message, in addition to creating an IL-103 production center, the parties intend to organize sales and after-sales service of aircraft.

Reference. The first flight of the IL-103 took place in 1994, and the certificate on the AP-23 IAC standards was taught in 1996.
The aircraft is controlled by one pilot and can take on board 3 passengers. The cruising speed of the “air taxi” is 180 km per hour, the maximum flight altitude is 4000 meters, and the flight range is 1000 kilometers.

The IL-103 is operated by the Federal Forestry Agency of the Russian Federation to monitor forest areas, as well as countries such as Belarus, Laos, Peru and South Korea, where Air Force pilots are trained on it.

Throughout the history of the accident there were 4 disasters of this machine associated with a violation of the rules of flight and operation.
