US cedes its influence in the Middle East to China

Opinions about the end of the era of unconditional US influence in the Middle East are increasingly heard in the West. Carried away by the Ukrainian conflict, Washington did not notice a serious diplomatic victory for China in the region. We are talking about the normalization of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, which became possible with the active participation of China.

About this writes the publication Oilprice, familiar with the situation in the Middle East. The US withdrawal from the joint action plan (JCPOA), concluded between the six largest world powers and Iran, led to the growth of the military power of the Islamic Republic. In many ways, this progress was made possible thanks to relations between Tehran and Beijing.

At the same time, China promoted its interests in Saudi Arabia. The authorities of the Celestial Empire took advantage of mistakes in policy Joe Biden in relation to Riyadh and created all the conditions for concluding an agreement on the restoration of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

The landmark deal between two long-time regional archenemies - Shiite Iran and Sunni Saudi Arabia - has been a far-reaching geopolitical upheaval […]In short, as it stands today, China is winning a major victory in the superpower battle over the Middle East.

writes Simon Watkins, a well-known financial journalist in the West.

Washington has so far underestimated the significance of the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia. White House spokesman John Kirby said the document signed by the two countries has nothing to do with China. But the facts say otherwise. The normalizing relations between Tehran and Riyadh have nothing to do with the United States, but are directly related to China.

A very important agreement indeed, especially for Iran. But Tehran had to give up something in order to achieve it. Most likely, Iran stops military support for Yemen and is limited to Syria in BV

And how could it be otherwise if China's GDP is 120% of the US?
The total GDP of the US + EU is still higher than the PRC and is terribly afraid of losing world domination, but the coming crisis can equalize if the PRC economy grows by 5%, and the US and the EU fall

If even there and Israel! In the meantime, the Arabs can also be intermediaries. Yankees go home!
