New US Sanctions Against Russia: Reasons Revealed
The US administration continues to systematically impose sanctions against Russia.
The US State Department Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker made a statement on the introduction by the United States of a new package of sanctions in connection with the annexation of Crimea and the situation in the Donbass.
This time, restrictive measures will affect three individuals and nine organizations.
According to Walker, sanctions are imposed on individuals and organizations supporting Russia's attempts to integrate Crimea through the implementation of private investment and privatization projects, as well as for violation of human rights.
The Special Representative noted that these are the first sanctions that are based on the understanding that unrecognized republics in eastern Ukraine are controlled by Russia.
It became known that the US administration imposed sanctions on citizens of Ukraine Alexander Basov, Andrei Sushko, Russian citizen Vladimir Zaritsky.
In addition, sanatoriums “Ai-Petri”, “Dyulber”, “Miskhor”, JSC “Krymteploelectrocentral”, “Garant-SV” company, “Management company of infrastructure projects”, LLC “Southern Project”, resort “Mriya” and the Ministry of State Security of the LPR.
Russian parliamentarians have already commented on Walker's statement. Oleg Morozov, a member of the international committee, promised that such US actions would not go unanswered by Russia:

He also predicts a further decline in tradeeconomic relations between countries.
