Why oil and gas in Russia will not end for a very long time

2
Relatively recently, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, acted as a “foreteller”: he was loud then saidthat oil in Russia will end in 19 years. In Moscow, they took a break to properly “digest” what was said. And now, a month later, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia Dmitry Kobylkin made an interesting statement while he was in the walls of the Federation Council (SF).

The Russian senators were very excited about the prince's statement, and they did not fail to seize the opportunity to thoroughly question the head of the department, who was just in the Federation Council, speaking at the government hour. The essence of what the minister said is as follows. Russia has fairly large reserves of oil and gas. So these resources will be enough for a very long time.

I believe that oil and gas in Russia, I can’t say that it will never, but will not end very long. This is all a myth.

- said Kobylkin, explaining to the senators everything he thinks about the “predictions” that concern them.

But the head of the department did not stop there, but specified that after the reduction in reserves of easily recoverable resources, the development of hard-to-recover reserves will begin. And there is “not a plowed virgin soil”, and the volumes of raw materials there are even larger than at the surface. In addition, he is a supporter of the deep processing of oil and gas inside Russia, and he does not really like the export of these resources from the country in the form of raw materials.

Moreover, no one has even approached shale reserves. Since this is simply not necessary. After all, what else is on the surface is enough for the next 50 years of intensive mining. And all the “difficult” ones will not go anywhere. It is only necessary to prepare the necessary ones ahead of time Technology booty.

And as an example, confirming the words of the minister, we need to recall the development of the Achimov strata, and other projects that Gazprom Neft is currently engaged in, about which we in detail previously reported. So, if the easily recoverable reserves of this company amount to 5,5 billion tons of oil, then the hardly recoverable reserves amount to 20,4 billion tons. Did you rate it? And this is one company, and what is really proven. It’s hard to imagine how everything looks like in Russia as a whole, given the tundra and the Arctic. So the minister explained everything in an accessible way.

Oil and gas in Russia will never end - ask the workers operating the wells. The thing is that hydrogen is released from the Earth’s core and passing through the Earth’s thickness it turns into oil, gas, water.
