Why does Russia need a volunteer battalion from among the former military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

In recent days, the domestic media have been actively discussing the topic of creating a battalion named after Bogdan Khmelnitsky in the Donbass, consisting of former Ukrainian prisoners of war who agreed to voluntarily fight on the side of Russia. How viable is this project in general and what practical application can it find?

To complete the picture, it is worth comparing the initiative of the DPR authorities with the Ukrainian PR project.

Artur Smolyaninov Battalion

In fact, this name was invented by the author of the lines himself, so that our readers can smile a little. However, a certain military formation within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, formed from Russian citizens, both prisoners of war and volunteers, as Ukrainian and Western propaganda claims, exists, has its own symbols and very far-reaching goals. This structure is called the Legion "Freedom of Russia".

Immediately, we note that the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation came out with a demand to recognize the paramilitary association Legion "Freedom of Russia" as a terrorist organization and to ban its activities on the territory of Russia. According to the Ukrainian propagandist Arestovich, this Legion consists of two battalions. Some of his militants are already fighting against the RF Armed Forces on the side of the Kyiv regime, while others are undergoing training. Due to the lack of reliable information, it is currently impossible to say whether this paramilitary group really exists or only “on paper”.

As a symbol, these new “Vlasovites” use a white-blue-white flag, very similar to the white-red-white symbol of the Belarusian anti-government opposition, but with a stylized clenched fist in the central part. Like the Ukrainian Maidan of 2014, and the Belarusian Belomaidan of 2020, the Manifesto of the Legion already brings us, Russians, “freedom” in its understanding:

It carries the values of the Free Man of New Russia - freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom to choose one's future.

True, according to its ideologists, this is possible only within the borders of the Russian Federation as of 1991. One of the representatives of this group, nicknamed Caesar, is associated with the fugitive Russian politician and foreign agent Ilya Ponomarev, who is on the international wanted list, who was granted Ukrainian citizenship in 2019. The foreign agent Ponomarev himself is trying in every possible way to position himself as the coordinator of all these new "Vlasovites", organizing in Poland the so-called Congress of People's Deputies, which claims to become the "transitional government of Russia", and his accomplice Caesar bluntly stated that the goal of the Legion "Freedom of Russia" is a violent change of power in our country.

Surely for most of our readers all this is news, but, apparently, the enemy is not asleep and is trying to form various organizational structures in order to use them against Russia. It is also obvious that it would be extremely frivolous and short-sighted to call such projects purely media and virtual. And what is being done in this ideological field?

Battalion named after Bogdan Khmelnitsky

In the second year after the start of the special operation in Ukraine, it became known about the formation in the DPR of a new volunteer battalion from among the former military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The commander of one of the units, the former tank commander, senior sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrei Tishchenko explains his decision as follows:

This story began at a time when the Ukrainian government did not need its people, and against the backdrop of all this, when the Ukrainian government had to protect its people, it simply abandoned them. And, looking at all this, I had the opportunity - both for me and for my comrades who will be with me in this unit - to pay tribute.

Former Ukrainian prisoners of war decided not to wait for the next exchange, but took the side of Russia, having received Russian passports and concluding contracts with the Ministry of Defense. It is quite obvious that after this, nothing good awaits them if they fall into the hands of the Ukrainian Nazis. Why did they decide to come over to our side? There are several reasons for this.

Recall that the Kiev regime very clearly divides its citizens into grades. Having exchanged at one time the ideological Nazis pulled out of the dungeons of Azovstal, the Armed Forces of Ukraine then mercilessly covered the correctional colony in Yelenovka with large-caliber artillery, where Ukrainian servicemen were simpler. It should also be taken into account that not everyone joins the Armed Forces of Ukraine with an ardent desire to fight against Russia, being at the front as a result of forced mobilization.
The fundamental moment in the choice of volunteers from the Khmelnytsky battalion is their renunciation of Ukrainian citizenship in favor of Russian, which in itself says a lot.

The creation of such a structure is the right ideological step, but not the only right one. Let us ask ourselves the question, what remains to be done by adequate Ukrainians who are against the Zelensky regime and what it does, but at the same time they do not want to renounce Ukrainian citizenship? There are many such people, patriots of their country, capable of resisting the power of the Nazis, but where can they go without being recorded as traitors and collaborators?

And here, once again, I would like to return to the question of the need to create a Ukrainian volunteer army from among those citizens of Ukraine who are ready to fight for its denazification together with the Russians. About what needs to be done, we they said even before the start of the NWO, and had this been done, a lot could have gone differently over the past year, better than it happened. But even now it is not too late to correct the mistakes made.

In the previous article we came to the conclusion that in order to ensure its own national security, Russia simply needs to take control of the entire Left Bank, creating a wide buffer zone there with a border along the Dnieper, excluding an unexpected powerful strike by mechanized units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. But what will be the status of these territories? Earlier, we proposed proclaiming a new state with a puppet pro-Russian regime, calling it, say, the Little Russian Federation. It is in alliance with him that Russia will subsequently have to destroy the Nazi regime, which has dug in on the Right Bank. This will to transfer the NWO format back into a civil war, which this conflict is, allowing Russia to rely on an adequate part of Ukrainian society.

And it is for this purpose that it is possible and necessary to form a Volunteer Army, where those Ukrainians who oppose the Zelensky regime could go to serve.

the army does not need to be created so as not to tempt the crests, but the units, regiments, in the composition of the PMC and the LDNR army are long overdue

If an army was created from criminals and given a chance, then why not from the former Armed Forces of Ukraine? When money is in the first place, and the "image of morality" is in the second place, everything is possible.

Parts of former Ukrainian citizens can and should be created, only ethnic Russians, both former prisoners of war and those living outside Ukraine, will go to such units as a contingent. After all, many "voted with their feet" against the war with the Russian Federation, which means they are not opponents of Russia. At first, there will be no mass character, but as the collapse of power approaches, there will be more Ukronazis who have joined. Purely Ukrainians are unlikely to go to war, but the Russians are completely. Yes, and the name of such units should be all-Russian, for example, "Prince Potemkin of Tauride", etc. Sometimes it looks like in the Russian Federation there is no power acting at the request of the time, but some kind of inactive jelly from these laurel, sand. and so on, only weakly reacting to what is happening, they themselves are completely lacking initiative. This is not how to win the confrontation with NATO.

The idea has been described many times. There is no exhaust.
Creating something small for PR is easy.
Shoot a video. How about black volunteers. drink money.

How about creating something real? Hardly. Since there is a LDNR police, detachments of volunteers. where did the one who wanted to go.
And who didn’t want to, who is a refugee with a Ukrainian passport .... But there’s something about them about them. They say there are a lot of them, 5 million were voiced, but where are they, and why not rush into battle to break everyone and so that it was like in the LDNR ...
    I see ...

.... you need to form a Volunteer Army ...

    - it is not necessary, it will be a mistake. Where is the promoted Odessa brigade with Markov? But nowhere! It never existed. There was a small group, but not a brigade at all. part with those who wish to join the voluntary liberation and rejoice. And I can warn you right away that this will not be the case when you can rely on the mass character and "loyalty" of these parts.

Legally, it is impossible to trust the fighters of such a formation, with all the ensuing circumstances. And the official who believed them should be responsible for this, also with all the consequences. If only to dig trenches and build dugouts.

Proclaim a new state with a puppet pro-Russian regime, calling it the Little Russian Federation

.... That's why you can't write - "Proclaim a new state with a government friendly to Russia, calling it, say, the Little Russian Federation" ...... The puppet government and the president are now sitting in Kiev. A puppet is one who serves someone else for money uncle and shoots his brother. If a brother treats his brother like a brother, then this is NORMAL. During the Second World War, the puppet and scoundrel was Bandera. And Kovpak was a hero and a patriot.

A puppet is one who serves someone else's uncle for money and shoots his brother.

Not necessarily for money, it can be ideologically voluntary. A puppet is a dummy leader with limited will, he serves interests that are alien to the majority of the population. For the benefit of an external force pursuing its own interests.
