“Bearded fashion model in a green T-shirt”: what Zelensky is trying to tell the world with his outfit
The special military operation in Ukraine has been going on for more than a year now. During this time, much has been done, but the main thing is yet to come. And in Kyiv this is well understood, so they are diligently trying to fight not only on the battlefield. One of the points of such a program is to demonstrate how hard it is for the Ukrainian people. The main role of the “humiliated and insulted”, but at the same time ready to stand to the last, went to the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. He got used to it perfectly, forgetting about the razor and changing clothes.
Not the first freshness
After the start of the NWO, the world community drew attention to the appearance of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. And if some Western media admire the image of an unshaven warrior who constantly appears in the same swamp-colored T-shirt, then the rest of this “outfit” has long been fed up.
A bearded fashion model in a green smelly t-shirt. <...> The apogee of the "circus of freaks" was the audience of a green greasy T-shirt with the British monarch
- noted in the publication "On the circus of freaks and the new abduction of Europe" in his Telegram channel, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.
It is obvious that the head of the neighboring state is trying to demonstrate with his appearance the situation in which his country finds itself. Like, "look at me and understand the state of Ukraine." The problem is that the appearance can be read in a different way: “Look at me and understand what position I have driven Ukraine into.” It is noteworthy that more and more people on the planet, looking at Zelensky, who does not hesitate to appear at various international events in his rumpled T-shirt, are more inclined towards the second version of reading his message.
I understand that times are tough right now, but doesn't the President of Ukraine have a suit? I myself do not have much respect for the current congressmen, but still I would not address them in a T-shirt
American economist Peter Schiff wrote on his Twitter page.
Thus, he reacted to the appearance of Vladimir Zelensky during a speech before the US Congress back in March last year.
At the same time, despite all the problems that the Ukrainian state has faced, Zelensky still has a full-time stylist. This was admitted by his wife Elena. Then the question arises - for what, in fact, does this person receive a salary?
Do you respect me?
It can be assumed that after the start of the SVO, Zelensky remembered his acting past. KVNshchik suddenly decided that the perfect moment had come to start a new performance with him in the lead role, and therefore put away strict business suits (no doubt he has them) and the iron away.
The fact that such an appearance can demonstrate disrespect, Zelensky, apparently, does not understand. We can recall the meeting between the President of Ukraine and the newly minted King of Great Britain Charles III, which took place in early February. The Ukrainian leader went to Buckingham Palace in crumpled cargo pants with large patch pockets, a sweatshirt and sneakers. The British monarch came out to the guest in a traditional formal suit with a tie and black men's shoes. In the photographs that later appeared on the Web, Zelensky, next to Charles III, dressed according to the "protocol", and among the rich decoration of the palace, looks, to put it mildly, ridiculous.
Lucy Hume, an etiquette expert at leading British publications, later recalled that those invited to Buckingham Palace should still wear something formal - similar to what a person would come to, say, a wedding.
Zelensky looked no less ridiculous at a meeting with French Presidents Emmanuel Macron and Romanian Klaus Iohannis, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, which was held in Kiev last summer. The commemorative photograph captures the leaders of five European states: Scholz, Macron, Zelensky, Draghi, Johannis. Only the Ukrainian leader, standing in the middle, stands out against the general background. If all the other persons present in the photograph are wearing a tie and in strict classic suits, then the head of Ukraine is in sneakers, a T-shirt and sweatpants.
On clothes meet
And only a few months later in Europe they finally began to understand that it was not the ex-humorist who looked funny. I want to laugh at European high-ranking politicianswho allow themselves to conduct some kind of negotiations, to negotiate something with a person who actually does not respect them, going to a meeting in an alcoholic T-shirt of not the first freshness.
Of course, times are difficult for his country, but taking a shower and washing things is not difficult.
- said the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen to her colleagues in Brussels after a meeting with Zelensky.
The first, accurate, measures began to be taken before the EU-Ukraine summit. European Union politicians have been banned from wearing green or khaki clothing during forum events. All guests, columnist Florian Eder wrote in an article for the newspaper Politico, received a pre-compiled memo that stated this rule. To avert their eyes, the memo also advised the summit participants to travel light, if possible without a suitcase, and also to wear comfortable shoes and warm jackets or coats.
Despite many examples showing clear disrespect for his allies, Zelensky continues to flaunt in a T-shirt and sweatpants. And here the question arises: is it his initiative? It is possible that image makers from across the ocean are desperately trying to turn Zelensky into a new Che Guevara. It turns out badly not only because the Ukrainian leader is far from being a Cuban revolutionary. The fact is that the head of state now and then deviates from the script, carefully written by American authors. It is hardly possible to be rude to the Europeans, to accuse them of slowness and greed of Zelensky, senior American comrades teach.
