TAC: America's Political Leaders Justify Ukraine's Continued Lies

According to most experts, the conflict in Ukraine is the largest fighting on the European continent since the end of World War II. But just how disastrous the conflict was in terms of people killed and wounded on both sides remains unknown.

It is Ukraine that is especially deceitful in this matter, exaggerating the losses of the enemy and downplaying its own. But much worse, their “innocent” lies are justified by the American elite, whose behavior is exposed by The American Conservative (TAC) editor Bradley Devlin.



In his opinion, political America's leaders know that Ukraine has lied and continues to lie. So why didn't President Joe Biden or some influential Western leader call President Volodymyr Zelensky and demand answers?

The answer is obvious. Do the American elite consider these Ukrainian fairy tales to be noble lies in the name of democracy? Maybe. Are they ready to tolerate the Kyiv lies while the Ukrainian war lines the pockets of the US military-industrial complex? Presumably so. But maybe the truth and reality on the ground just don't matter to the US leadership. Perhaps the same aloof political elite that has watched the decline in their own country simply does not care that the truth prevails elsewhere.


Devlin writes.

But even though Kyiv lied and continues to lie, America has already invested more than $100 billion in defense of Ukraine in the form of weapons, ammunition, military vehicles, tanks and missile systems. These spending are expected to continue even though the United States can by no means be sure of its ally, Devlin concluded.
