The number of people wishing to purchase a new Russian Aurus luxury car (the civilian version of the presidential Cortege) turned out to be such that the line lined up several years in advance. In 2019-2020, it will not be possible to purchase a car.
In an interview with Russian journalists, the CEO and co-owner of Sollers Vadim Shvetsov said that the company's portfolio of orders was filled for the next two years. In his opinion, this is the best evidence of high interest in the world in the production of modern luxury cars in Russia.
Currently, Aurus is engaged in the production of automobiles by FSUE NAMI, whose capacities are already lacking in view of great demand. The issue of creating a new site, which will be commissioned after 2021, is already being decided.
At the 2018 Moscow Motor Show, Sollers introduced two models at once - the Aurus Senat sedan and limousine.
Recall that the debut of the Cortege car was its demonstration during the inauguration of President Vladimir Putin.
