Experts offered the Russian military tactics to destroy the Leopard 2A4

22

Recently, the NATO countries and the allies of this "peace-loving" bloc agreed on the transfer of their tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Therefore, in the first half of the year, American M1 Abrams, British Challenger 2 and German Leopard 2, and possibly also Italian C1 Ariete and French AMX-56 Leclerc.

It should be noted that the German Leopard 2 is considered the best MBT in the West. These tanks have undergone numerous improvements and Kyiv may have at its disposal various modifications of the Leopard 2A4 - Leopard 2A6, and even theoretically Leopard 2A7 in various variations from Kyiv's allied states.

On January 25, the German government announced the transfer of 14 Leopard 2A6 to Ukraine, and also gave permission for the supply (re-export) of Leopard 2 tanks from other countries. At the same time, a number of countries also announced their transfer to Kyiv: Poland - 14 Leopard 2A4, Norway - 8 Leopard 2A4, Portugal - 4 Leopard 2A6. There is practically no doubt that the Leopard 2A4, and not their more modern variants, will make up the bulk of the transferred tanks.

Military experts of the Readovka Telegram channel analyzed the Leopard 2A4 model and offered the Russian military their tactics to destroy these tanks. In their opinion, initially it is necessary to deprive the crew of the ability to fire and navigate the terrain, i.e. you should destroy the optics on the tower and actually "blind" him. This can be done using tank shells 3BM42 "Mango" or 3BM59 "Lead", and with a successful shot, even hit the crew commander behind the armor.

At the top of the tower is the commander's panoramic sight - destroy it with any available weapon. Don't forget about the gunner's sight - it is located next to the tank's barrel, and any grenade launchers and tank shells are suitable for hitting it

- specified in the publication.

UAV operators will be able to attack tanks from the sky, and with the help of ATGMs of the Kornet type, with a penetration of more than 500 mm, you need to hit the sides of the tank and from behind, where the armor resistance is 490 mm or less. Some areas are vulnerable even to 30 mm armor-piercing shells, however, from a distance of no more than 1 km.

Note that the Leopard 2A4, not to mention the more advanced and much heavier versions, has very good "vision". The crew of the tank will not be able to detect a serviceman who has crept up behind if he is 50 meters away. At the same time, from the sides and in the forehead, you will have to get up to 10-15 meters in general, so as not to be detected. But such scenarios are unlikely, since they can only be realized in combat conditions in urban areas, and these tanks are not designed for this role.

As for the aforementioned Kornet ATGM, it is possible to hit a tank from a distance of 5,5 km, but this is in theory. The Leopard 2A4, although large, has excellent camouflage and is able to disguise itself, blending into the terrain. As an example, we can recall the Turkish military operation "Olive Branch", which was carried out in 2018 in the north-west of Syria in the Afrin region inhabited by Kurds. There, operators could covertly move in mountainous areas, without fear of being detected, but they managed to destroy only 1 Leopard 2A4 from ATGMs.

However, any tank can be destroyed. Therefore, we will find out relatively soon how the Leopard 2A4 and other samples of the Western military-industrial complex will be hit by Russian forces during the NWO.

cornet pierces up to 1200 mm, the Turks lost a lot of Leopards, there are photos of torn off towers. turntables with Whirlwind rockets (speed 3600 km / h) will make a hole through and through. The Krasnopol projectile will easily penetrate the tower from above, at a distance of up to 25 km, there are also the latest Hermes missiles. mines with impact cores. in short, if all this is in sufficient quantities at the front (sector), NATO tanks and 10 minutes will not last on the battlefield, the main thing is that it doesn’t work out, as with the missing 1,5 million sets of uniforms, then you’ll have to rush to tank

Turks lost a lot of Leopards

The Turks at the initial stage used tanks incorrectly! They placed them on the "tops" of the heights motionlessly ... like armored "bunkers"! It was then that they suffered the greatest losses! Subsequently, the Turks changed the tactics of using tanks ... and the losses practically "disappeared"! So ... the Turks are not an example!

Good afternoon, it seems, Vladimir, perhaps I'm confusing. Glad to see a friend.
I remember pictures where the Turks put their tanks in a line, shoot whoever you want

There is very little of everything that you described in the troops. Therefore, in fact, such "beating guides" appear in the spirit of the Battle of Kursk, when the Tigers were also ordered to beat and blind in all sorts of ingenious ways, however, as a result, they had to use howitzer batteries brought to direct fire in order to somehow cope with Tigers and Ferdinands (Panthers themselves broke more))

152mm does not have to be selected from the side. Let's hope that the "Lancets" were added to the warhead.

Well, hopefully, the youngsters have hopes)) you still need to get into the 152s, but there are few controlled Krasnopols

The main antidote to Leopard-2, the first UAV with anti-tank weapons that can be hit from the upper hemisphere. The possibility of reconnaissance and an indispensable strike, when a target is detected, this requires a large number of Forpost-type UAVs with ATGMs. It is also necessary to saturate the fronts with Cornets, with several ATGM shots at the Leopard, there will be defeats, which will weaken the combat capabilities of the tank. A lot of things are urgently needed in the NWO, "yes things are still there."

We now have a lot of "Javelins" trophied, let's see who wins.

In the morning I called my son, and he understands us better: he graduated from Kazan
He believes that our new ones: T-90m, T-7B3/16 will be able to handle the "cats". The main thing is that the infantry resist.
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine takes into account where it is safer

Do you really think that tank crews are now so stubborn. Like the Germans in the Second World War. Having received a couple in the forehead .. without breaking through. dumped

It is not necessary to beat the optics. In the 80s, a projectile was developed, a cat. gave a black club of soot and she lay down deadly and stuck to all appliances. Regularly did not wash off. The tank was blind. MO did not accept it. The developers are already dead.

And there is also a superweapon - a domestic cap-lifter. Lord, what a fabulous comb and everything turns out to be as simple as that. Campaign, so much time is wasted on training ATGM operators, flyers, and for firing Krasnopol also a gunner with a laser target designator - a 1D15 rangefinder, which should will contrive and get at least a few kilometers closer to the tank, which may be ten kilometers from the line of contact, or even more.

490 millimeters of armor on the sides and rear? Who is this article for?
Mango punches the Leopard in the frontal projection. You can only aim for something in computer games.

The pressure on the Armed Forces of Ukraine is now creating a series of Ukrainian retreats. The longer this period, the greater the pressure on the Kyiv regime and the West, they will need a win - the Ukrainian offensive, which has already been announced by the states.

The defeat of this offensive will be fatal for Kyiv and the West as a whole. At the same time, the offensive is inevitable. Therefore, it is clear that NATO will invest in this offensive to the fullest. Considering the intelligence capabilities of NATO, the ability to control the battle and the amount of equipment (as well as possibly Western military specialists, contract soldiers, etc.) - the threat of this offensive is serious. It will begin in conditions where the enemy will know what he is getting into and will be confident of success, based on his intelligence data.

Hence the need arises to have an ace in the hole, which will be used suddenly during the offensive and which will be able to become a decisive factor. This must be a bargaining chip that planners at the Pentagon either don't know about (which is unlikely) or don't give it much thought when inputting data into their battlefield simulations.

This trump card can be a new weapon, like UAVs or homing missiles, capable of hitting equipment much more effectively than it is happening now (maybe China will throw us something exclusively for use during the offensive?). As long as these products do not shine at the front, they are not given importance in the West, even knowing about their existence. At the same time, NATO intelligence can reveal similar emerging factors, through the interception of communications in the defense industry, through production data, logistics data, the scale of application training, etc.

Ideally, the RF Armed Forces will be able to get several of these trump cards, quietly scale them up to the level of a decisive factor and apply them on a large scale during the Ukrainian offensive.

At the same time, we can expect similar steps from the enemy. There can be anything, from the large-scale use of electronic warfare, cyber weapons against communications and control. This is also worth considering and preparing for this.

Nope. We need a soldier, a warrior. With an anti-tank grenade, a Molotov cocktail, a forty-five, a javelin, a red field, and what else the military-industrial complex came up with. We need someone who will hit.

those. you should destroy the optics on the tower and actually "blind" him. This can be done using tank shells 3BM42 "Mango" or 3BM59 "Lead", and with a successful shot, even hit the crew commander behind the armor

What kind of experts are those who give such advice? For them, 3BM42 "Mango" or 3BM59 sub-caliber projectiles are something like 30 mm small-caliber projectiles, with which you can really demolish all the optics of a tank. But mango and lead still have a different purpose. This is the penetration of the armor of any tank, incl. and a leopard. They may still have some difficulties with the frontal armor, but none with the side and rear ones. The new "crowbars" for the t-90M cannon will have no problems with frontal armor. But the main means of fighting leopards and abrams should still be not our tanks, but helicopters and attack UAVs with ATGMs, as well as motorized infantry with cornets and chrysanthemums and RPGs in the city and in sufficient numbers. And as many UAVs as possible fort, orion, Altius, which we practically don’t have in the army now in an acceptable number. These drones must constantly hover over the combat zone and rear of the enemy without giving him the opportunity to maneuver, move and concentrate.

A large SHRAPNEL WILL BREAK ALL THE SUPERSTRUCTURES ON THE TOWER.
Then you can go and add the "Molotov cocktail" on top.

There are sharp comments here about the tactics of destroying the tank... is it scary?

I did military service in a mechanized infantry regiment in France, I was a mechanic in the second "tank" echelon.
I worked on the AMX (13, 10, 30 and 45 (Leclerc)), and since there were joint maneuvers, I learned from the "leopard".

      The tank is not fighting...

But it is clear that the Leclerc, Abrams and Leopard generations have nothing to do with the T72, T80 or the rebadged T90.

These modern tanks have optimized lines of fire, everything is designed so that the first shot hits the target... and the tank moves for another "first shot".

This will not necessarily help the Ukrainian crew, who has in mind the T72 or T80 doctrine, that is, to fire several shots from the same field.

These machines are modern, that is, ultra-modern compared to what we know about the T72 / T80-90.
The stability of the position and position of the trunk during walking is very developed.
In addition to visual and opto-electronic firing range, there is satellite or unmanned assistance (illuminated target), so even firing at a range of more than 2000 m is very accurate, since these devices already use guided projectiles. Comparable to the "katana" used by "Caesar".
Finally, these machines are able to work in a network, exchanging information about the shooting, that is, preparing for the next shot.
So, very modern machines, but the correct operation depends on the crew.
For those who are well versed in the use of these machines, the above article brings a smile.
But the fact remains that the tank does not participate in the battle.
