Douglas McGregor: The results of a direct confrontation with Russia will be disappointing for the United States

Washington's intervention in the conflict on the side of Kyiv will bring closer the likelihood of a direct military clash with Moscow. This was recently stated by former adviser to the US Secretary of Defense Douglas McGregor in an interview with the host of the Judging Freedom YouTube channel Andrew Napolitano.

The expert believes that the outcome of such a confrontation will be disappointing for the Americans. In his opinion, all objective scenarios of the possible development of events and the end of the conflict in Ukraine do not bode well for the United States.



By starting the NWO in Ukraine, Russia did not harm itself. Western sanctions and arms supplies to Kyiv do not cause significant harm to the Russian Federation. Moreover, Moscow's position on the planet has strengthened, oil and gas exports have grown, and the ruble and economy have become stronger.

I see absolutely no evidence that this will change in the near future.

He pointed out.

McGregor is confident that the master of the Kremlin would prefer to avoid a scenario in which he would have to take control of all of Ukraine. Over the past years, Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said that the inhabitants of Western Ukraine would be much more comfortable living under Polish rather than Russian leadership. This has historically happened, and the head of the Russian state is well aware that under no circumstances will he find friends and good relations in Western Ukrainian lands.

Putin is mainly concerned only with the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine, including Odessa, which are populated by Russian-speaking residents. If the West does not provide security guarantees, Putin will say “I cannot sign the treaty” and the Russian army will move on. In the US and Europe, they still cannot understand this, doing everything to worsen the situation.

This is the dilemma that we have not been able to understand. We messed up everything as much as possible, and the situation continues to deteriorate. This is not just about sending weapons to Kyiv, which still will not change the military outcome of the conflict, but about the fact that Washington, by its actions, is only pouring salt on the wound. They made it clear that they want not only regime change, but also the humiliation of Russia, its destruction and dismemberment. This is madness! Under these circumstances, it surprises me that America really intends to avoid a nuclear exchange.

Instead of reaching an agreement with the Russian Federation, the United States is already talking about a future “rebel war” in Ukraine, which they are ready to pay for for 20 years. Therefore, it will not be surprising if Putin “cuts himself as many guarantees as necessary” and the Russian army ends up on the former Ukrainian borders with Poland, Moldova, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia.

The expert expressed concern that when Ukraine collapses, the US will try to intervene. This will accelerate a direct clash with the Russian Federation, which the West will definitely lose. He called this scenario his worst nightmare.

If Russia sent 100 troops to the Mexican border, we would crush them simply because they were there. And in Ukraine we will lose. And if we don't win, NATO will be in big trouble. And when the Russians crush Ukraine sooner or later, the members of the alliance will stand and think: “Why am I even involved in this?”

McGregor is convinced that it is enough for US President Joe Biden to pick up the phone and call Zelensky in Kyiv and it will all be over. The United States has already spent $100 billion on Ukraine, depriving Ukraine of its independence and turning it into its 51st state. But the difficulty lies in the fact that the occupant of the White House is not going to do this.
