Russian forces repulsed the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Kremennaya-Svatovo section

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are accumulating forces in the Serebryanka area in order to strike south of Kremennaya. The Russian military is monitoring the enemy’s movements in the Kremennaya-Svatovo sector and massive artillery strikes are repelling his attempts to attack, according to German Kulikovsky, a war correspondent and author of the Older Edda Telegram channel.

There were no significant changes along the Kremennaya-Svatovo highway. Positional battles are going on there now. According to the military correspondent, until the Russian forces take control of Seversk, there will be a danger of a strike by large forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south of Kremennaya, follows from the message.



The parties exchange artillery strikes, while the Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively using drones for reconnaissance and target designation. Russian units are advancing at the turn of Makeevka - Zhuravka gully. They are supported by armored vehicles and artillery. Artillerymen hit the rear positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with reconnaissance and sabotage groups helping them with target designation.

In the area of ​​the Zhuravka beam, a ravine up to 10 kilometers long, along the bottom of which a stream flows, the fighting continues. Soldiers of the 3rd Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Guards Army of the Western Military District of the Russian Federation are on the offensive in this sector. The enemy is knocked out of the strongholds, thereby expanding the zone of control over the strategically important beam.

The infantry and artillery of the Russian division carried out a concerted attack and advanced about one kilometer. It was possible to free two strong points from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian side tried to stop the advance of Russian troops using a tank. However, the combat vehicle fired several shots and left the battlefield, hiding behind smoke.

Earlier it was reported that units of the Russian army on the morning of January 19 attacked positions of Ukrainian troops near the city of Orekhov, Zaporozhye region. Russian troops conducted reconnaissance in force. And they did it from two directions at once - southwest and southeast of the city. Such tactics brought local success and forced the enemy to transfer reserves there. They were met by artillery of the Russian Federation.
